Forget defending the nation, mailing Social Security checks or any of the federal government’s other jobs. Under President Biden’s explicit orders, the executive branch is increasingly going to push racial “equity.”

 

This outrageous exercise in reverse discrimination has absolutely no place in government.

 

As The Post’s Caitlin Doornbos reported, more than 90 federal agencies submitted “equity action plans” last year, obeying Biden’s order (just hours after he took office) to create “agency equity teams” and use government power to advance “racial equity and support for underserved communities.”

 

Now, under a new order he issued last month, all federal agencies will have to file such reports and show how they’re meeting their “equity” missions.

 

Expect the discrimination to get even worse.

 

The noble-sounding term “equity,” for Biden & Co., has nothing to do with treating people fairly — just the opposite. It means treating (some) minorities better than whites and other groups when it comes to, for example, federal jobs and grants.

 

That flies smack in the face of the nation’s bedrock principles, not to mention laws like the Civil Rights Act, which bars the use of race in hiring.

 

Biden and fellow Dems have “turned government-funded racism into an art,” fumes Trump budget czar Russ Vought.

 

Already, many of some 300 woke programs focus explicitly on race, prioritizing minorities for government grants, jobs, contracts and outreach.

 

Some involve jaw-dropping sums. The American Rescue Plan, for example — OK’d solely by Democrats in Congress — created a $3.8 billion debt-relief program that would pay farmers and ranchers of color up to 120% of their outstanding loans, regardless of financial need.

 

The courts stopped that overtly racist program, but it was quickly replaced by a similar $3.1 billion initiative tucked into the Inflation Reduction Act for “economically distressed” farmers (who are more likely to be minorities).

 

Many agencies have created whole new departments and six-figure, senior-level posts to oversee equity efforts. Meaning an ever-larger part of the vast federal bureaucracy is now devoted to nothing but ensuring the rest of it favors minorities.

I believe “racism,” while a vile, despicable, and utterly unconscionable thing in fact, which should be roundly and universally condemned when it is in fact encountered – in any shape or form.

 

Racism, unfortunately, is also the drug of choice for Leftists, liberals, and Democrats. They turn to it for defensive succor when they have no answer for an argument, as justification when they identify a goal – however trivial or offensive to others – they want achieved.

 

As burnishment when they have a situation they wish to attach more significance to or a conversation they want to force you into. As the coup de grâce pronouncement on the personal characters of those who take issue with or stymie the narrative.

 

There is only ever one reason anyone would disagree, they insist, and it is never that the facts do not support the narrative. It’s always racism.

 

Everything shines bigger, badder, and brighter if you paint it with a racist brush.

 

I’m pretty sure you’ve noticed they have been dipping that brush in cans the size of oil drums.

Time and time again, we’re told we live in a racist nation. We’re told that white people are so racist that the entire system is rigged against minorities.

 

What am I talking about? Well, this:

 

A school in Sacramento, California, suspended two black students after fake money containing racist imagery against black people circulated throughout the campus last week, the Sacramento Bee reported.

It’s not just at this school, either.

 

In fact, it seems pretty much every “hate crime” I’ve seen reported in the news turned out to have been either nothing at all—like ropes supposedly being nooses—or were actually false flag-type hoaxes.

 

My only conclusion is that since there aren’t enough actual “hate crimes,” black men and women have decided that they have to pick up our privileged slack and do what white folks apparently believe they’re too good to do.

 

I’m sure there will eventually be an op-ed all about how black folks have to perpetrate their own hate crimes because white people refuse to do their own work.

 

Racism still exists. I know it and you know it. I’m not interested in pretending it doesn’t.

 

But you only benefit the actual racists with this kind of nonsense. It means if they do something like this, people are far more likely to just roll their eyes and move on instead of actually trying to find the racists.
