Hapless Bills Fan Posted March 18, 2021 Posted March 18, 2021 49ers apparently not persuaded "Wrong Josh" is the "Right" for the backup job 1 1
Ridgewaycynic2013 Posted March 18, 2021 Posted March 18, 2021 (edited) Open the dictionary to 'schadenfreude', and there's Rosen's picture... Edited March 18, 2021 by Ridgewaycynic2013 1 16 2 1
The Red King Posted March 18, 2021 Posted March 18, 2021 Top-ten overall pick. From a cocky comment about making other teams regret passing on him in the draft, to flaming out as even a backup in just a handful of years. Just...wow... 6 2

I just think back to so many of these situations we have all endured, as Bills fans... As crappy and sad as it is, this was us for about 2 decades.. Aaaaand, on the bright side, it is no longer us. 8 1
Haslett_Stomp Posted March 18, 2021 Posted March 18, 2021 I watched the much-hyped USC vs UCLA game when Rosen and Darnold were Seniors and came away unimpressed by either. 8
stuvian Posted March 18, 2021 Posted March 18, 2021 quite the fall from grace. At least Manziel made it entertaining 5

I was never high on Darnold. He never looked good at USC when the pocket wasn't perfectly clean. But I will admit Rosen was my #2 behind Allen with Baker 3rd.

colin Posted March 19, 2021 Posted March 19, 2021 like they used to say in drag racing, there is no replacement for displacement. attitude aside, rosen is just physically not nfl material. 3

In fairness I said the same thing about teams after a what by most accounts was a pretty successful flag football career at a small to medium sized SUNY school in the early 80s. Time to man up—I was wrong, probably in part because I was a second string linebacker on a team that went 6-4. I never even got any looks. 4

Ridgewaycynic2013 Posted March 19, 2021 Posted March 19, 2021 Couldn't Rosen go clean up on the men's pro tennis circuit? I seem to remember him being skilled at the game. I don't know if that's Rosen's assessment of his skills, or a third party's.
