60+ catches last year for over 700 yds. Nothing wrong with this pickup. Real

solid depth.

Wasn't he the #1 WR most of the year, on a team with absolutely nothing else at the position?

It would be hard for a guy in that spot to put up worse numbers, to be honest.

There were a lot of options out there and we settle on him?

need speed and I’m not sure he has it anymore.

That’s correct.  He’s a possession WR now, but according to PFF over the last 3 seasons he ranks 15th among WRs in overall grade and 16th in separation.  Beane has really only gone after receivers who can separate.  He should be valuable, but we still need a burner to take the top off the defense.

Can’t decide if I like it.  I’m glad we added a proven vet that can get open and catch the ball.

once I see the financials, I’ll be able to decide whether or not I like it.

Beane actually tried to trade for him last year at the same time as Diggs.

Do you mean in 2019 just before the trade deadline?  Sanders was a FA last off season when he signed with NO.

This is awkward...

Is this technically cheating? Are we home-wreckers now???

This is considered "legal tampering", is it not?

Huh. From Wikipedia:

Emmanuel Niamiah Sanders[1] (born March 17, 1987) is an American football wide receiver for the Buffalo Bills. He played college football at SMU, and was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the third round of the 2010 NFL Draft. Sanders won Super Bowl 50 with the Denver Broncos over the Carolina Panthers.

Tougher than Smoke.  And longer wingspan - he’s a contested catch guy and Smoke just isn’t.  Sanders makes that play against Baltimore on the last drive in 2019.  For example.  And he’s smart as sh—.  Great signing.

Bills HAVE to get a burner in the draft. Not saying we have to use a high draft pick, but we need someone that can go deep and take the top off a defense, even if it's the only thing he can do.

I believe this will wind up being the selling point for Sanders over Brown. Inside outside versatility to be able to move him around.

Cheaper than Smoke?

No word on the deal yet but we haven't heard about restructurings or releases either.

That’s solid.  But doesn’t address the speed quotient.

He had it once - 4.39 40

He's 33

Some people claim speed doesn't leave

🤷‍♂️

Does TJ Graham have a brother?....

Do people forget that Stefon Diggs is on this team?

Yes. Both. Tried to trade for him and then was in talks to sign him one year ago today, backed out when the Diggs trade went down

I think the Bills were disappointed in Brown's ability to play through tough man coverage.
