He punted 100 times in 1968 (in just 14 games) compared to Bojo's 41 last year. Kinda tells the story of just how bad the Bills were in '68. He and Sestak made great pizza too. 1

Didn’t BM running something stupid like a 4.45? I think he won NCAA’s for D3 in the 400 hurdles? Also, our punter is faster than Singletary... 1

I'm shocked that Reggie Roby isn't the all time leader in every punting category for the mammals! 1
Freddie's Dead Posted March 17, 2021 Posted March 17, 2021 Bodork is my whipping boy, so I'm all for this. Also, with Bodork gone, Josh Allen will be the clear Bills leader in the porn 'stache competition.

Not sure I get the point of developing him and being patient with him only to not sign him... I assume pandemic kinda made him one of the pieces u have to trim to keep the other pieces.

I’m assuming they would have given him at least that. Well to me it says the Bills weren't interested in paying $2 mil for him and didn't. And likely are assuming no other team is willing to pay that much either, so maybe they will still sign him. Ashamed tender offer salaries for RFA aren't tied to positions the way franchise tag salaries are. Hard to believe that RFA QB is worth the same as a punter!

And has gotten better as the years go by.

MrEpsYtown Posted March 17, 2021 Posted March 17, 2021 I mentioned in the Parlady thread that the real news with the Dolphins signing him was that Haack was available, and that I preferred him to BOjo, and Parlady. Haack is the real deal and I’m glad we grabbed him. 1
DabillsDaBillsDaBills Posted March 17, 2021 Posted March 17, 2021 I dislike Bojo more than the next guy (I made a thread in 2018 saying we should cut him), but I can't say I'm thrilled with this move. Bojo was pretty good last year. Why suffer through 2 years of bad/inconsistent punter play only to not re-sign the guy after he had a great 3rd season?

We could have tendered him. Hard to think of this as not being a downgrade. Haack Bojo Downgrade how exactly...bc of avg yrd per punt, or another metric? Bojo had a good yr, but that was just 1 during his time with us. Granted he improved greatly this yr, but the inconsistency could have still been a concern and field position. Bojo rarely pinned punts, it was a coin flip if he'd kick a touchback or a fair catch at the 15. With the offense that we now have, a specialist pinning the ball deep is much more valuable than a guy who kicks a 60-yr boom every 10th kick. Bojo bigger leg, Haack will prove much more valuable when those frustrating drives fizzle at midfield. 1
