wvbillsfan Posted March 15, 2021 Posted March 15, 2021 It was never realistic but man that was my one luxury wish. He’s a baller. 1
Malazan Posted March 15, 2021 Posted March 15, 2021 Not a bad WR2. Guess they're not hoping for much on Mims 1
TheBeaneBandit Posted March 15, 2021 Posted March 15, 2021 Solid get. Doesn't have John Brown speed but wouldn't get shut down from press coverage either.
Logic Posted March 15, 2021 Posted March 15, 2021 I like Davis. Good player. At $12.5M/year, though? Not so much. That's a lot of cheddar for a guy who's never cracked 1,000 yards receiving in a season. 6
Reed83HOF Posted March 15, 2021 Posted March 15, 2021 Just don't see the Jests being a desirable team to play for...Maybe next year 1

You need more than one good WR in an offense in today’s NFL. 😂 I'd explain it to you, but I don't feel like feeding your addictions. Pitch your agenda to those more gullible than I. Logic Posted March 16, 2021 Posted March 16, 2021 Is it just me, or is Davis' skillset a bit redundant with Denzel Mims'? They seem like the same guy to me.

They are but I love offenses like that. Multiple vertical threats can open up a defense pretty good. Besides in today's NFL, 11 personnel is your base offense, so you can easily play two Xs. 1
GETTOTHE50 Posted March 16, 2021 Posted March 16, 2021 they need someone out there playing offense that is worthy of some sort of coverage/plan

The thinking has to be that he has untapped potential because he played with a conservative QB on a run first team. But like the Jets are not the team that are going to unlock that potential anytime soon.

thenorthremembers Posted March 16, 2021 Posted March 16, 2021 Good but not great player. Never had more than 5 tds in a season and never eclipsed 1000 yards. Just like every other team in the AFC East spending money, show me a QB and then I worry. Jets are paying him more than we pay Diggs.

In expected role maybe. Mims didn't turn out to be a physically dominating, but he was a rookie, injured for an extended period, and had Danorld/Flacco as his QBs.. and Flacco was the GOOD one. 1

In size and athletic profile, too. They're both 6'3", 207 lbs. Both ran 4.4 40s. I'm not knocking having two big dudes who can run fast. They just remind me of each other, that's all.

C.Biscuit97 Posted March 16, 2021 Posted March 16, 2021 I like Corey Davis. Struggled early, had a terrible loss last year, and has turned into a player. He has number 1 ability IMO.
