Markaf431 Posted March 13, 2021 Posted March 13, 2021 (edited) My wife pointed this out so I don’t have a link, but Jordan Poyer just posted and discussed how he’s struggled with alcoholism. Not really anything to back it up but if I can find a way to link to it I will. https://www.instagram.com/p/CMYCM2jny1Y/?hl=en edited for link Edited March 13, 2021 by Markaf431

YoloinOhio Posted March 13, 2021 Posted March 13, 2021 All of his teammates posting comments of love and support is awesome. So glad he’s in a good place now. 17
Logic Posted March 13, 2021 Posted March 13, 2021 The post is about how he is one year sober. How he recognized that he had a problem and overcame his alcoholism. Good for him. His post took courage. 18 9 8 1

Sadly, I’m not shocked. I hope we can do better and be positive moving forward. I’m very happy for him and wish him all the best! That takes guts to go public like that and I respect him even more for it. . Edited March 14, 2021 by Augie 2 4 1

BuffAlone Posted March 14, 2021 Posted March 14, 2021 you win internet lmfao. My point is, please dont equate someone coming out with being a hero. it happens every day, with bigger issues. that never get discussed. ✌ 3

In my view, individuals who overcome or learn to function successfully with addictions or mental health issues are heroes in their own right. Just because the public doesn’t see or recognize people for overcoming them, doesn’t make them any less of a hero than anyone else. 4 1

Miyagi-Do Karate Posted March 14, 2021 Posted March 14, 2021 This sort of also explains his wife being so vocal about his contract situation right after the end of last season. I thought it came out of nowhere, yet it didn’t— it apparently was causing him a lot of stress and contributing to his issues. 2
