Would much rather have him than singletary. That said, I’d prefer a Rb with some real speed, but will take what I can get I just prefer to not have Moss and motor as our 1-2 rb tandem.
transplantbillsfan Posted March 18, 2021 Posted March 18, 2021 I said earlier that I thought I remembered Joe B or Fairburn saying our draft class Cap allotment for this year was about $2.5 million, but evidently I was wrong. According to the Q & A Joe B had on the Athletic today, it's actually only $1.7 million

Hapless Bills Fan Posted March 19, 2021 Posted March 19, 2021 Does anyone have a clue as to what the Bills cap space currently is? Spotrac lists it as $3.14M but it's missing: 1) Matakevich restructure (still at $3M) 2) Boettger signing (still listing his tender - but I thought he signed?) 3) Taiwan Jones signing 4) the biggest ticket - Feliciano signing 5) Trubisky signing 6) Levi Wallace signing (we must be restructuring someone else to accomodate all that) It's got Emmanuel Sanders on there with a $5.9M cap hit, and I thought I heard he had a void year on his contract to knock that down Overthecap is even further behind - still has Mario Addison with a $10M cap hit instead of $8M 1

You also have an injury history and have missed playing time. Do you think you give a little here ?” That’s not a hard argument to make.

Hap, do you have any idea why or if Hughes didn’t get a paycut. Not becuase he’s not productive and a very solid all around DE, but he is 33 this August, and he doesn’t want to be on the street with the other hundreds of over 30 players this season. I honestly am a little surprised. He’s making $7.35 mil. this year as he already has his signing bonus. He’s in his last year so you can’t restructure unless they want to add years, and I doubt it at 33.

Does not have Trubisky ($1.72 off the Top 51) Does not have Feliciano (Have not seen what 1st year hit is) Other adjustment not calculated. Sanders Void Year. Matakevich Extension. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/cap/
ngbills Posted March 19, 2021 Posted March 19, 2021 (edited) How the blank do the Chiefs have only $160M spent? Hmmm... Mahomes - $7M ($450M contract/10yr) Jones - $8M ($80M/4yr) Kelce - $6M ($57M/4yr) Thuney - $4.5M ($80M/5yr) And I dont want to hear they are going into cap hell. Sportrac shows they will have $50M in space in 2022. How does that roster with a $450M QB and multi $50M+ other contracts seem to be in better shape than ours? Edited March 19, 2021 by ngbills

That my friend is the question of the day!! 🤔 🧐 but truthfully it appears like many teams are operating as if there really is no salary cap! How is Buffalo doing all they’ve done with $1million plus of cap space? The whole thing doesn’t make sense to me.

They only have 24 players under contract for 2022, Bills have 39. They push money back. Bills don't want to do it too much. 2

KC has a philosophy of paying a small amount of players big money and the rest of the team is cheap. But if you look at next years roster there is only a handful of players before you get down to guys making less than $2M. That's why they look like they have a bunch of cap for next year along with only 23 guys under contract. It seems to work for them so far. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/kansas-city-chiefs/cap/2022/
ndirish1978 Posted March 19, 2021 Posted March 19, 2021 I get you don't want to kick the can and put yourself in a bad situation in the future, but when you're in the middle of your window and the teams you have to get through to win a championship are selling out and going for broke, you better do something or you're gonna be sitting at home with your cap space while other teams play for trophies. This offseason is frustrating me. 1
Buffalo_Stampede Posted March 20, 2021 Posted March 20, 2021 Does anyone know where we stand cap wise because I'm very confused.

Nothing has changed form my post earlier today except the signing of TE Hollister which took $200k off the cap. It's at $1.178M 1
