Don Otreply Posted March 11, 2021 Posted March 11, 2021 Good news👍 looks like the odds/percentage of him being re-signed were a bit higher than was thought to be... 😁 ah, life on the Bills forum..., 1
Royale with Cheese Posted March 11, 2021 Posted March 11, 2021 This is the culture and the process. Milano could have made more money on the open market but didn’t even test it. He knows were are close and obviously loves it here. This is what a good FO and HC will do to an organization. 3

Probably can’t get anyone else and I’m fine with that To not land one of the DE’s would be pretty disappointing in my opinion you are basically repeating last year, it was good but to take the next step the DL needs help rushing the passer want to stop mahomes, get him on the move and hit often... bucs blueprint is right there 4 minutes ago, BillsFan130 said: Defensive line has a huge impact. If you get no pressure with a zone defence, you can have Brian urlacher and Patrick Willis as your linebackers and it wouldn’t matter much. Especially against rivers and Mahomes Exactly why I’m advocating to use the money on the DL, specifically for guys like Lawson or Yannick put them with jerry and Oliver... I think we could see a dominant DL getting after qb’s 1

So why can’t we use what’s left over to get a pass rusher from that extensive list and sign them and draft a lineman in a pretty well regarded OL draft class? Seeing that I said LT was more valuable than LB... I’m not paying Williams about what we’re paying Dawkins... and obviously it’s not super easy to replace Milano because we were 3-3 without him and 10-0 with him this season... if they felt he was easily replaceable they would’ve replaced him...

MJS Posted March 11, 2021 Posted March 11, 2021 I am pleased. Our defense is never the same without Milano. He has been one of my favorite defenders the past few years. Let's hope he can stay healthy and go out there and produce. Seriously cool he took a smaller contract to stay here. 3

I like the signing, but yes I would be disappointed if that means they can’t get a DE or Williams back.

Come on... the entire point of this off-season is to close the gap with the chiefs you could still get one of the pass rushers but I’m sorry I don’t love the idea of starting a rookie tackle to protect our franchise... I would much rather pay Williams and a proven pass rusher and take my chances finding the next linebacker in the draft than trying to find a future RT to protect our franchise

We saw them in the playoffs, 2 out of 3 games the defense was shredded Pay elite pass rushers or corners, coverage linebackers at 11M a year not unless your last name is David In McDermott's defense in particular, a player like Milano is hugely critical. And Milano's deal is a bargain for Buffalo. If this were a $13 or $14 million dollar deal, maybe you'd have a bit of an argument. The problem for you is that this is a good deal for a very good player. And while you're obsessed with stats, I prefer wins. This is similar to the argument in terms of complaints with Star Lotulelei. His impact on the game is not showing up on the stat sheet and I think this year everyone came to appreciate what he brought to the team as a player in 2019 because we saw how the team was without him. Again.... the team lost more games and gave up significantly more points and yards without Milano in the lineup. He matters a lot to this defense and resigning him at this price especially is a huge win for the Bills organization and Bills fans. If you aren't one of the latter, go back to your Patriots message board.

Agreed... don’t get me wrong Milano is a good player and has value but in this cap year I’m doing everything I can to keep Williams (within reason) and get a proven edge rusher linebacker is a luxury not a necessity and I think can be replaced in the draft much easier than a great RT or proven pass rusher 1
davefan66 Posted March 11, 2021 Posted March 11, 2021 Wow! Little bit of a hometown discount! Kind of feel he was motivated to be here. Don’t believe the cap made it a weak market. 1
Royale with Cheese Posted March 11, 2021 Posted March 11, 2021 Do you think he also eats off the dollar menu at McDonalds?

I believe keeping Allen save is priority one and Williams did that so pay him I believe the next step to catch the chiefs is to put pressure on mahomes, enter the pass rusher Milano’s position is valuable but I’m not convinced you can’t find a player like him in the draft much easier than an all pro RT or proven pass rusher
Eastport bills Posted March 11, 2021 Posted March 11, 2021 Great signing, affordable and cap friendly. He never got paid commensurate with the top guys, hometown discount. I'm a big fan of this individual. 1
