Expand I would rather have a good player who will contribute this year than a late 3rd round pick in next years draft. I know it may be controversial but if that stops them from signing someone I would be shocked. 2

All a comp pick does is reward you with an end-of-3rd rounder at best for losing one of your best players. 3
