HappyDays Posted March 10, 2021 Posted March 10, 2021 Figured this was coming. I'm hoping they are opening up cap space to sign an upper tier pass rusher. Brown can be replaced in the draft or with Kenny Stills. 4

Personally I think he should be a priority. But sounds like Beane is ready to move ahead with Ford at RT, and maybe sign a depth guy like Rick Wagner plus another draft pick. If they're letting Williams test the market 90% of the time that means the player is gone.
GunnerBill Posted March 10, 2021 Posted March 10, 2021 Probably the right decision. Thanks for 2019 JB. 16
Chicagobills Posted March 10, 2021 Posted March 10, 2021 Damn going to miss him. He was hobbled by injuries most of the season. Would of loved to see him at 100% with Diggs next year. Oh well we have a nice trio with Diggs, Beasely & Davis 3 6

dave mcbride Posted March 10, 2021 Posted March 10, 2021 So with these cuts and assuming a $182.5 million cap, what's the current cap situation?
Clyde Smith Posted March 10, 2021 Posted March 10, 2021 15.4 mill saved with Jefferson and Smoke's release. 4

ExWNYer Posted March 10, 2021 Posted March 10, 2021 Not surprising in the least. He offered the biggest cap savings. 1

BigdaddyinOrlando Posted March 10, 2021 Posted March 10, 2021 Dam, figured this was coming but still saddens me to think he won’t be back. He and Cole came hear and help start the turnaround. Injuries definitely have curtailed his career! Will root for him and hope he lands somewhere beneficial to his skill set! 15 2 2 5
NewEra Posted March 10, 2021 Posted March 10, 2021 Sad to see ya go Smoke. Thanks for buying in and giving it your all. Class act and I’ll miss your interviews. Had to be done. It’s a numbers game and his number didn’t match his production in this offense now that we have Diggs 13 9 1 2

appoo Posted March 10, 2021 Posted March 10, 2021 He was pretty big in Allen's development. Really happy with his 2 years here 7 9

Jefferson actually does have a dead cap hit of 1.5 million according to Spotrac. But the savings still amount to 6.5 million given that he had an $8 million cap number.
