B-Man Posted February 5 Posted February 5 The Banality of Biden? By Steven Hayward You may have missed the news that a celebrity named Joe Biden has signed up with the powerhouse Hollywood talent flacks at Creative Artists Agency. Worth noting how CAA describes their new client: “President Biden is one of America’s most respected and influential voices in national and global affairs,” Richard Lovett, co-chair of CAA, said in a statement. “His lifelong commitment to public service is one of unity, optimism, dignity, and possibility,” Mr Lovett said. It is a sign of Biden’s lifelong mediocrity, in which he has always been a follower and never a “leader” on anything except his own self-regard, that CAA needs to persuade us that Biden is “one of America’s most respected and influential voices.” Has there ever been another president who needed to be described in this way? Being a former President of the United States was usually self-explanatory, and required no PR boost. Not to mention the sequel—that Biden had a lifelong commitment to “unity, optimism, and dignity.” He was the opposite of all three things from beginning to end. There is something almost Shakespearean that Biden, having panted pathetically after the presidency for his whole life, was enabled by his party bigwigs to get the office (as an expedient to stave off a Bernie Sanders nomination, not because of Biden’s animal charisma and vision) only after he had reached his dotage, likely unable to perceive that he was a mere figurehead or puppet for the party’s ideologues—the ideal vehicle to conceal the growing radicalism of the Democratic Party. His senility, obvious mediocrity, and manipulability were a feature, not a bug. Until it couldn’t be concealed any more, when the party bigwigs discarded him like Ted Kennedy did with an empty bourbon bottle. https://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2025/02/the-banality-of-biden.php
Albwan Posted yesterday at 07:12 PM Posted yesterday at 07:12 PM https://www.theguardian.com/books/2025/apr/02/biden-ron-klain-trump-debate-prep-book-chris-whipple New book, more proof the left are liars and cultists In a new book, top Biden aide describes ‘out of it’ president before Trump debate According to Klain, it turned out that Biden “didn’t know what Trump had been saying and couldn’t grasp what the back and forth was”; left preparation and fell asleep by the pool; obsessed about foreign leaders, saying “these guys say I’m doing a great job as president so I must be a great president”; “didn’t really understand what his argument was on inflation”; and “had nothing to say about a second term other than finish the job”. And its still a lie. Joe was out of it long before the debate. 1
