nato7412 Posted March 5, 2021 Posted March 5, 2021 Im a little surprised, interested to see the numbers on this. Hes still solid and a leader but I dont think his play is where it used to be. 4 3 2

Brennan Huff Posted March 5, 2021 Posted March 5, 2021 What a time to be a Bills fan. Multiple contracts to our good players? These aren’t your father’s Buffalo Bills... 4
Royale with Cheese Posted March 5, 2021 Posted March 5, 2021 This will give us some more room in the cap. 1 1

I just thought wed want to see his play this year first, with him being on the wrong side of 30 and the cap situation I thought he may be gone sooner rather than later but clearly not. Im happy we still have him don't get me wrong
buffaloboyinATL Posted March 5, 2021 Posted March 5, 2021 I love keeping a leader on the Defense and keeping that safety tandem together! Great job! 6 1
First Round Bust Posted March 5, 2021 Posted March 5, 2021 (edited) excellent and smart move - 3 more years if it goes to the max will be 8 years - this was a find and a big hit by McD - this one precedes Beano 2=year extension worth 19.25M per NFL Network h/t espn Edited March 5, 2021 by First Round Bust 3

Likely helps drop his cap number for next year and the guaranteed signing bonus is probably spread out over 3 years making it easier to cut him at any time after next year. This is 100% a move to help free up cap dollars in some way. Edited March 5, 2021 by Big Turk 1
Doc Posted March 5, 2021 Posted March 5, 2021 Like I said in another post, no way were they cutting Hyde. In fact, they did the opposite. 1 2
Buffalo_Stampede Posted March 5, 2021 Posted March 5, 2021 Looking like 2 years just under $20 million. So he's getting about 3 years $26-27 million

Exactly-- an extension but also lowering his salary for the upcoming year. I think this is a great signing and I am sure that if we release him after this year or 2022 -- that it wont count much against the cap. 1
Giuseppe Tognarelli Posted March 5, 2021 Posted March 5, 2021 I guess Johnson will go his whole tenure here without really seeing the field.
