Go rob a bank where you will be lucky to get a few grand you could get a 20 year sentence. And one should get a 20 year sentence when they threaten the use of a firearm to get that money. 1

I get what you're saying but I do believe when it involves violence against fellow human beings it should be elevated to a new level.

But punishments do not always match the crime ....

machine gun kelly Posted March 4, 2021 Posted March 4, 2021 He is a despicable person and 14 years is light. I read the article and it seems that is the maximum for their plea deal. For those making jokes, you should be ashamed of yourselves. There is nothing funny about treating elderly and homeless women in such a predatory manner. I’ll say prayers for these women so hopefully they find some peace.

They always get a super light sentence like all they did was knock over a 7/11 with a gun. The victims are stuck with distrust and fear for life, and I'm not a "oh my feelings" guy but that is a big ordeal. So there are no victims of drug crimes? How many people were robbed or murdered because an addict was looking for his next fix? Literally had a friend of mine die because she kept letting her addict husband put poison in her veins. Shes dead, he was out of jail in two years and is now onto his next victim. Winslow is a scumbag and got off easy but lets not pretend most addicts arent scumbags too. T master Posted March 4, 2021 Posted March 4, 2021 I never liked his attitude coming out of college he seemed like a spoiled rotten egotistical kid that had all the best of everything growing up and doubled down on his ego which made him a bit obnoxious i get having confidence but he was way over the top . I hope through it all he finds some remorse for all the people he has hurt through all of this especially his parents I'm sure they raised him better than to do something like this . Decisions have consequences throw the book at him . 1

I am all for being competitive but that post game interview when the canes loss a tough one when he started yelling at the press saying he was a soldier was just bizzare and showed he wasn't playing with a full deck. 1
C.Biscuit97 Posted March 4, 2021 Posted March 4, 2021 Honestly, he should be in prison for life. But something about this story is completely crazy. Dude had everything and beautiful family and just starts raping old ladies? The lawyer had to use CTE as a defense right?

(She and I had broken up by that time, for reasons unrelated to this, but we were still in contact with each other.) She refused to press charges - she just wanted him to leave her alone. In the end, the president agreed not to fire him as long as he left her alone and voluntarily resigned at the end of the school year. It's not the outcome I would have chosen, but that's what she wanted. I saw her a few years later. She married a guy who treated her well, so I was happy about that. Edited March 4, 2021 by WhoTom 1

I was just reaching the age where I paid attention to football when the Bills had this great running back - Orenthal something or other - whom I idolized. Shortly after his retirement and long before the murders, it started becoming evident that his off-the-field behavior was, to say the least, not worthy of idol worship. (Several domestic violence reports, police being called to his house, etc.) I was in high school by then, and that's the point when I realized that idolizing celebrities was a mistake. I'm glad I never got a Bills 32 jersey when I was a kid. 3
Capco Posted March 4, 2021 Posted March 4, 2021 Very interesting to read this thread while I'm concurrently taking criminal law in law school. Sounds like there's a lot of retributivists on here.
