TBBills Posted February 23, 2021 Posted February 23, 2021 (edited) News saying he had to be removed from his truck with the jaws of life. He has been taken to a local hospital. https://www.tmz.com/2021/02/23/tiger-woods-car-crash-golf-tournament/ Edited February 23, 2021 by TBBills 2 Quote
Process Posted February 23, 2021 Posted February 23, 2021 (edited) This doesn't look good. Hope he's okay. Edited February 23, 2021 by Process 1 Quote
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted February 23, 2021 Posted February 23, 2021 Ugh. This seems bad. Really hope he has a full recovery here. Quote
\GoBillsInDallas/ Posted February 23, 2021 Posted February 23, 2021 Alcohol, pain killers or cell phone? Quote

DrDawkinstein Posted February 23, 2021 Posted February 23, 2021 "Jaws of Life" always makes things sound way more serious than they really are. They are just high-powered scissors that can cut through metal. If the door was crunched and simply couldnt open... Jaws of Life. Hoping all goes well for Tiger. I'm a big fan. Quote
H2o Posted February 23, 2021 Posted February 23, 2021 At his age, with multiple leg fractures, and an already bad back I would expect this to be the end of the road for Tiger swinging the clubs competitively. He's going to become with Charlie the way his father was with him. Quote
stevestojan Posted February 24, 2021 Posted February 24, 2021 CNN reporting the breaks as compound fractures. Not good. 3 hours ago, Just Jack said: Cell phone or fell asleep is my guess. He was seen “speeding from his hotel moments before the accident.” The original report said no booze (and it was 7:15am) but who knows at this point. Quote
Nextmanup Posted February 24, 2021 Posted February 24, 2021 The vehicle is a Genesis GV-80 if anyone is wondering. Quote
Demongyz Posted February 24, 2021 Posted February 24, 2021 Sherriff reported he didn't seem impaired in any way, so there is that. Perhaps he lost control or wasn't paying as close attention as needed while speeding... Quote
Freddie's Dead Posted February 24, 2021 Posted February 24, 2021 (edited) Pretty clear that El Tigre was speeding like a mofo. Also pretty clear that with a compound leg fracture, he likely won't play in any majors this year. Hope he can make a recovery because golf is a lot more interesting when El Tigre is prowling the links on Sunday. All the best to Eldrick Woods. Edited February 24, 2021 by Freddie's Dead 1 Quote

I wish him a full and speedy recovery. He’s been blessed, and cursed, in many ways already. Quote

I wonder if they confiscate a cell phone after single vehicle accidents like this where no one else was hurt. Hate to speculate, but driving a rental that was given to him without his cell setup and possibly messing with that. Not good in any way. Prayers up to Tiger for the best. Quote

That still does not explain the reported lack of skid marks. When things go bad, you generally hit the brakes. HARD when it’s really bad. 1 Quote
UConn James Posted February 24, 2021 Posted February 24, 2021 (edited) Compound fracture of a leg bone and a fractured ankle, reportedly. The ankle is the big deal. Certainly never gonna be the same; that injury and usual treatments haunts you forever movement-wise and pain-wise. Edited February 24, 2021 by UConn James Quote
stevestojan Posted February 24, 2021 Posted February 24, 2021 At least he took the one second to buckle his seat belt. 1 Quote
