BuffalOhio Posted April 25, 2005 Posted April 25, 2005 Can anybody tell me why we sign guys from Northeastern as UDFA's, and we haven't signed Michael Munoz, starting LT from Tennessee? The kid's got a pedigree, and as far as I can tell, he's a pretty good player. Why wasn't he drafted? Why haven't the Bills looked at him? I have the same questions about Simon Fraser, DE from Ohio State. These are two pretty good players, and neither was drafted. Anyone know why?
Mark VI Posted April 25, 2005 Posted April 25, 2005 Simon Frasier gives a good effort buy doesn't move all that well. I watch all the Ohio St. games and can state that with confidence. Munoz is always hurt and wasn't ranked that high to begin with.
udonkey Posted April 25, 2005 Posted April 25, 2005 "The biggest problem with Munoz is clearly his medical history. During his time in Tennessee, he’s had knee, shoulder, ankle, and elbow injuries, and has even suffered a concussion. He seems to get into a groove, but another injury always seems to slow him down. Aside from the injuries, he is not a great athlete and will likely handle the RT spot in the NFL. He was not able to workout at the combine and he will need to put in the work to rehab his shoulder to be able to start next year." http://www.footballsfuture.com/2005/prospe...hael_munoz.html
DanInSouthBuffalo Posted April 25, 2005 Posted April 25, 2005 Why wasn't he drafted? Why haven't the Bills looked at him? 317641[/snapback] Just because he's Anthony Munoz' son doesn't mean he's going to be as good. That's why.
Steven in MD Posted April 25, 2005 Posted April 25, 2005 Munoz was ranked the 15 top OL in the draft. He looked good if not above average when he played. He will end up on some teams PS to get a season to rehab his injuries and to work on some technique. I was hoping the Bills would have signed him.
R. Rich Posted April 25, 2005 Posted April 25, 2005 Like one of the bios on him stated, "...this is not your father's Munoz..."
Golden Wheels Posted April 25, 2005 Posted April 25, 2005 Don't dis the Northeastern Huskies! Sean Jones played for them and got a super bowl ring with the Packers. You never know where you might find a diamond in the rough.
