Carson Wentz to the Colts

I think that’s a good fit. I still think he has something left in the tank, and the Colts D is good.

I think this move tells me the Jets may be set with Sam Darnold because, even though I know more QB's are available, I thought Darnold had Colts written all over him. In fact, I'd rather have Darnold than Wentz.

I think Wentz could be toast, but is there a third round pick QB that has a better chance of being good? I don’t think so.

Not much of a difference between him and Rivers. Maybe even a slight upgrade for the Colts.

Good trade for the Colts. My opinion is that Wentz is a good QB and his collapse was due to a bad online and poor play calling. The Colts are a perfect fit for him.

Plus I think Frank can improve on Wentz numbers.

I know most will disagree but Colts will surprise a lot of people offensively.  Reich knows what he has in Wentz, and he also knows how the get the most out of him.

That's a win for the Colts. Not sure about what the future brings for Wentz but worth a shot for a QB needy team. 

 

I think at first hand the Eagles asking price was ridiculous..in the end this seems about right value in my mind.

Give any qb time and they look really good, but Wentz just went from a horrid o line to an elite one. Early comeback player of the year candidate IMO

So here’s my thought: 

 

Frank Reich was there in what has been revealed to be a very dysfunctional situation. He saw how it went, and he knew who Wentz was. If he’s saying that he can recover him, I tend to believe he will.

Same. They were two of the worst 5 starters in the league in 2020 but Wentz looks by far the more fundamentally broken to me. He has the equivalent of a golfer with the yips. Maybe a change of scenery and a reunion with Reich can revive him, but honestly, I'm sceptical. Here is one of my bold predictions for next season very early.... by Thanksgiving Wentz is not the starter.
