Except for the fact that it lasted three hours, with minimal damage vs two years with many deaths and billions in damage.

The Feds Are Forced to Release January 6th Surveillance Footage and Narratives Crumble

Why has the federal government been trying so hard to keep surveillance footage of January 6th under wraps?

We may have an answer to that question if a set of newly released videos are any indication.A judge ordered the videos be released against the wishes of the government prosecutors who claimed doing so would undermine national security. Of course, that makes no sense, and what’s on the videos runs counter to the chosen narrative.Behold, the event that has been compared to the Civil War by the President of the United States. (Tweet/Video) If you can’t watch the video, what you’ll see are open doors/windows and people casually walking in.

But trespassing is not a justification to keep people locked up indefinitely, and it’s not an excuse for the government to withhold evidence from the public simply because they think it’ll be embarrassing to their narrative.

There are thousands more hours of footage that should be released at this point. Let the evidence or lack thereof speak for itself. The idea that any of this is endangering national security is a joke, and I’m glad this judge saw through that farce.

Meanwhile, the left is assuring us that basic, non-violent enforcement of illegal immigration at the border is a human rights violation. Yet, they lauded the killing of Ashli Babbitt on January 6th as completely justified because she was where she wasn’t supposed to be. See the disconnect?

All of this is political, from those who continue to obsess over January 6th to the politicized prosecutors who want to make their career on what mostly amounts to simple assault and people taking selfies. We truly live in the dumbest of times.

Cool story bro.  What about the damage to our democratic republic?   Not that you care because you were with the loonies on the 6th, either in person or in spirit.

The trespassers were arrested, as they should have been.

No 'insurrection'.

NO 'damage' to our Republic.

But you knew that...........................but keeping the Narrative going is more important.............we understand.

Prosecutors face legal challenges over obstruction charge in Capitol riot cases

FTA:

Some federal judges overseeing the prosecutions have expressed concerns about the application of the law in the context of the Capitol riot and whether that could potentially prove problematic when applied to other circumstances.

D.C. District Judge Amit Mehta said at a hearing earlier this month that he was concerned about how prosecutors might wield the charge if it’s not subject to limitations.

“Essentially, what you said is ‘Trust us,’ ” said Mehta, who was appointed by former President Obama. “And that is a real problem when it comes to criminal statutes to suggest that, ‘We know it when we see it, and we’ll pick and choose when we think it’s an appropriate exercise of prosecutorial discretion.’ ”

The U.S. attorney’s office in D.C. has charged more than 200 people with the obstruction count following the riot, making it the lead felony charge that prosecutors have wielded against those who they consider to be the more egregious offenders, including members of the Proud Boys and Oath Keepers who are facing major conspiracy cases.

Enacted in the fallout of the Enron scandal as part of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act intended to counter corporate fraud, the statute prohibits anyone from “corruptly” obstructing official proceedings.

There is little precedent of the charge being applied in circumstances similar to the Capitol riot, and some of the defendants are arguing that the Justice Department is misusing it.

I rest easier at night knowing that our government is on the job here allocating limitless resources and funds to pursue charges against petty law breakers while ignoring drug cartels and sex traffickers crossing the border unimpeded, as smuggled opioids kill thousands, criminals run free in cities processed under a catch and release experiment which provides them the privilege of committing limitless crimes without consequences, international terrorist groups operate undeterred, and our foreign enemies laugh themselves into a coma while contemplating the threat they face from our Mummy in Chief as he pursues a policy of pussification of our once tough and ready military.  And with any luck the entire economy and the markets will be in the waste basket soon too.  Thankfully the 2022 mid-term elections are coming to flush the foul stench of this dysfunctional regime down the toilet.

All the crimes you cited are in YOUR neighborhood. The folks in the Capitol don’t give a darn about YOUR neighborhood. But, when a few hooligans and a dude in a bear costume break into THEIR offices the pursuit of these numbskulls will see no boundary. The elites must be protected over everything else!

Except for the fact that it occurred at the US Capitol on the day the electoral college votes were to be counted.  Other than that, indistinguishable.

Prosecutors Lost A Fight To Keep Jan 6th Surveillance Videos Under Seal

https://rumble.com/vmufuv-prosecutors-lost-a-fight-to-keep-jan-6th-surveillance-videos-under-seal.html

From what I saw: Protesters casually walking around inside the Capitol building like a regular day at some Disney World exhibit.  Real insurrectionist stuff.  So far it appears the video contradicts the narrative and talking points.  But the radical left has a real expertise in quickly pushing false narratives out to the public through their stooges in the media and assorted "experts" in order to get in front of the facts before they become available.  And then pound away at it until they get their way or the whole thing falls apart and they move on to the next false narrative.  It seems nothing they believe is real.

This isn't and never was about insurrection or threats to democracy.  This is all about a power grab opportunity.  Plain and simple.  It's about a political party using the events of January 6th as an opportunity and an excuse for restricting the rights of Americans to express their political views.  And using a subsequent staged Committee investigation following it as a ruse to criminalize views they oppose.  I suspect it will not go as well as they expected.
