The Justice Department won’t have January 6 evidence ready until 2022.

by Julie Kelly

During a status hearing Friday afternoon for Timothy Hale-Cusanelli, an Army reservist arrested on January 15 for his involvement in the January 6 protest in Washington, D.C., an assistant U.S. attorney admitted the government will not meet its discovery obligations for all Capitol defendants until early 2022.

Kathyrn Fifield, the lead attorney representing the Justice Department, informed Judge Trevor McFadden that the “incalculable” volume of video collected by the government related to the Capitol breach investigation will prevent defendants and their lawyers from accessing the full body of evidence against them for several more months. “No system exists to wrap its arms around [all this evidence],” Fifield told McFadden. This includes at least 14,000 hours of surveillance video plus thousands of hours of body-worn camera footage from law enforcement.

Fifield resisted setting a 2021 trial date for Hale; McFadden and Jonathan Crisp, Hale’s court-appointed attorney, told the government last month that unless a plea arrangement was agreed upon, a trial would be set for later this year because Hale already has been incarcerated for more than six months. “If we do set a trial date, the government cannot meet discovery obligations until early 2022. That’s a conservative estimate,” Fifield said.

So polls are good now?

And sorry, this isn't about polls, its an investigation into a riot to overturn an election. The committee members are doing patriotic work to uncover the work of anti-democratic, violent extremists and to make sure next time around we are better prepared to crush it

It seems like no one outside of select social media websites care. I am right in the middle of the *****

in a strong blue state...Regular people including democrats are working, vacationing, trying to live their

lives. No one in the real world gives a f%^ck about politics anymore. People are fed up with it all.

I'm also convinced that many of the people who voted for biden did it out of fear and resignation, desperate

to  get a semblance of normality back into their lives after democrats, media and the far left had unleashed

utter devastating terrorism and chaos on this nation since hillary ***** on lost.

WHY PELOSI WON’T TOLERATE DISSENT ON HER ‘INSURRECTION’ COMMITTEE.

by Jonathan Tobin

https://www.newsweek.com/why-pelosi-wont-tolerate-dissent-her-insurrection-committee-opinion-1613936

Perhaps some naive souls believed House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's decision to convene a special committee to investigate the January 6 Capitol riot would afford the country some closure on the traumatic events of that day.

It appears that Pelosi has other motives. She and her party have latched onto the disgraceful events of January 6 not merely as a talking point to deploy against former president Donald Trump but as a club with which to beat all Republicans who express concern about election security. Six months after Trump's second impeachment, and following the Senate's failure to approve a 9-11 type commission, Pelosi's dogged insistence on re-litigating the riot was sure to invite debate about a host of issues—including some that don't fit neatly into the Democrats' preferred narrative about an "insurrection."

Dare I Say That January 6 Was Not an Insurrection?

By Dov Fischer

The D.C. Capitol Police proved to be incompetent — something we knew already — and failed to set up sufficient barriers. Consequently, a bunch of angry people in the front lines charged the police barricades and got through, and the throng mindlessly followed them. That is what throngs do. They do it at movies, at restaurants, at soccer games, and at heavy metal concerts.

They burst into the Capitol because that’s where the throng flowed. For 99 percent of those inside, it was pure curiosity. It was like the people who almost tore down the White House when celebrants thronged to fete the newly elected Andrew Jackson.

Remember the guy sitting on Nancy Pelosi’s chair? Do you think he came like John Brown in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia, to seize military weapons and incite a national insurrection? Of course not. Be real. The guy was having the time of his life.

The people in Washington calling it an insurrection are doing so to justify their own attempt to illegally seize power.

Illegally seize power? Can you project harder?
