In the interest of balance, I think we need to start keeping track of how many people have croaked on Biden’s watch.

Being that most of his campaign politicized Covid, I was hoping he would be doing a little better in protecting the public. After all, that's the #1 responsibility of the commander in chief right?

In other good news for the U.S. since Biden was elected:

https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/washington-secrets/gas-up-18-since-election-could-surpass-4-under-biden

"Since Election Day, gas and crude oil prices have jumped. In the United States, gas prices are up 18% and oil nearly 50%.

Said another industry expert, “In four years, we had made the U.S. energy independent and denied the bad guys the ability to control global oil prices. The Democrats undo it in two weeks. Just incredible.”

What's the exit strategy to return to full normal?

What are the metrics?  Aren't they deaths?  Hospitalizations?

What happened to "flatten the curves?"

Why was Joe saying "if we wear these masks for the next year we'll save a lot of lives?"

If you say the goal is now herd immunity via vaccine, but that might not be possible (as it says on the CDC website), then what?

This isn't a war against a foreign nation the public has no business knowing the strategy.

Every single scenario you're secretly discussing behind close doors that has stopped normal life and opens the door to you redefining permanently what that is, need to be shared with the country.

Joe Biden right now is like Frank Reich stepping on the field in the second half down 35-3 vs the Oilers. Just like Reich in the second half, Biden is stepping on the field with a huge deficit and is starting to chip away at the virus lead it was able to take in the first half due to terrible play and mismanagement by the Trump admin.

To be fair and balanced, we should report real news or at least context to it:

https://www.axios.com/coronavirus-pandemic-cases-hospitalizations-better-300a0a05-e6bc-4ec2-9cc0-87be88fd0ecc.html

An average of 108,000 Americans were diagnosed with COVID-19 infections each day over the past week.

That’s a 24% decline from the week before.

Hospitalizations were also down last week, by about 8%, and deaths fell by 3%. The virus is still killing an average of roughly 3,000 Americans per day.

Nationwide, average daily cases have been declining by double digits for four weeks straight. Cumulatively, they've fallen by roughly 55% over that time.

It’s been three weeks since even a single state reported an increase in average daily infections.

They don't care. No amount of effort on your part to discuss facts is going to be considered. They feed on the dopamine release that comes from being complete and utter #######s to those they believe are their enemies. If you don't profess that democrats hate America and are the enemy of freedom, you are the enemy.

Trump had a year to deal with Covid 19.   He chose to lie about pandemic's seriousness and politicize practices that have been proven to mitigate the spread of the disease.   400,000 Americans died while Trump was POTUS, and since deaths from Covid lag behind infections and hospitalization, most of the deaths from Covid that occurred since January 20, 2021 resulted from infections that occurred weeks or months before.    Covid Deaths on Trump's Watch

Once again a Republican leaves a huge mess, but this time the clowns are only going to give the new Democrat president 3 weeks to clean up that mess???  Now THIS is juvenile!

The current President inherited a country with a stocked cabinet of PPE, ventilators and three working vaccines. That’s a lot better position than the last President inherited. That just a fact. The reason people are pointing out the Biden deaths is BECAUSE all of this is silly! Neither President is responsible for Covid deaths. The virus is all over the planet for God’s sake.

So delete the thread if it's silly

I didn’t start this thread. You’re free not to click on it.

I won't.  You're free not to defend this kind of silliness.  Quick question, which president said, "I always wanted to play it down".  For a group that doesn't want government making decisions for them, the Republicans didn't mind that for some reason.  Bottom line is hating on Biden is just because he won.  There's simply no other reason than people are butthurt their guy lost.

Let’s also not forget part of Obama’s issue with restocking was Congress was divided and he was denied the funds he wanted to re-supply.

Trump had 2 years of knowing we needed supplies with a Republican controlled Congress and decided not to do anything.

Here we disagree. There’s more than one way to handle any crisis. Trump decided to play it down publicly so he could work behind the scenes to get infrastructure in place. Which he did. It may not be the strategy that you’d have used but it was not accidental. Knowing what he knew, he decided that a full-on public panic wouldn’t have changed anything.

Only 40k died during the blitz in WW2, and I'm pretty sure that sounding the air raid siren was a good idea, even if it caused a "panic".  Maybe we should stop warning when tsunami's are coming, too.  How many people would die in the panic trying to get to high ground?  Would it even be worth it?  He lied about the virus on many, many occasions.

It’s been a full year. That argument no longer works. That’s a person alive who doesn’t know about the virus...and yet.

Democrats controlled the Government from January 3, 2009-January 3, 2011 and held the Senate until January 3, 2015.  H1N1 hit the US in April 2009.  It was on Obama.

Trumps strategy was an epic fail by every quantitative measure

I wonder what the actual death count from the virus is i have recently read that the CDC has said that the actual death count attributed to just the virus it self is some where around 6% . There were a lot of deaths thrown into the mix because hospitals were getting money for each patient listed as a covid death .

Some died from motorcycle accidents but were listed as covid other cancer patience deemed to die from covid complications after having a death sentence from yrs of fighting cancer and some others from just put in that category because of the cash for that declaration on the death certificate .

Personally we had a uncle they tried to list as having covid when he had Lymphoma for over 5 yrs which he finally passed from & if we hadn't asked the Dr. it too would have been listed as him having covid . Then you throw in the Cuomo law to put the most vulnerable back into a situation where there was a lot better chance of the getting or dying from the virus .

Should those deaths be subtracted from the over all death tole attributed to Trump or do those count because of Cuomo's stupidity ?

When a virus such as this is new to science and the world i don't have a clue how people can blame all the mis steps on 1 person no one in that position could have done any better especially in the beginning but given a biased/hate filled 20/20 vision any one can make the claim that it was handled wrong and given the absolute hate for Trump it will be at the very least doubled down on .

But all is well now Joe & Kammy will lead the country back to what it was in 2015 and all will be the same as it ever was ...

Obama created the U.S. economy boom during Trumps term.

Trump, not China, where covid started, is to blame for it.

Trump created world hostilities by bringing troops home.

Trump will be blamed for soaring oil prices by this bunch.

No reasoning with the Left, TDS is embedded in their brains
