You don’t trade JJ Watt if you’re the Texans, you release him so he can go where he wants. It’s the classy move.

They cant. Not at his current contract hit and with only one year remaining, and everyone knowing they pretty much had to release him. Plus, that's a really dirty way to handle your star player and historically "good soldier".

I'd be ok with a d line of hughes star oliver watt. Cut butler jefferson and addison and bring in some youth in the draft.

Why would he? Assuming they re-sign Dupree, JJ doesnt even start there. And Ben is on his way out in a tough division, so they arent guaranteed contenders.
