Coach Tuesday Posted January 31, 2021 Posted January 31, 2021 Goff is going to get murdered behind that line. The Rams sure are doing things differently - they don’t use the draft anymore. They traded a future 1 for the right to draft Goff, traded a 1 for Brandin Cooks, traded 2 number 1s for Ramsey, now two more 1s for Stafford. In a way you could say that Goff has cost them four #1s! 1

That, and they won’t have to pay a first round draft pick for four years They can also restructure Stafford. Extend and spread out the cap hit. This trade likely improves the Rams cap. 1 2

BringBackFergy Posted January 31, 2021 Posted January 31, 2021 Detroit (GameStop) just squeezed the Rams (hedge fund) for 2 first rounders. Alternative universe. 2 3

CMC+Bridgewater and multiple picks Washington doesn’t even have enough ammo. San Fran maybe if they throw in one of their top talent guys like Kittle or Bosa and picks. Hahaha I wouldn’t make any of those trades but it’ll have to be something nutty I think
SCBills Posted January 31, 2021 Posted January 31, 2021 Probably a good trade for both teams tbh. 1 1
1st Ammendment NoMas Posted January 31, 2021 Posted January 31, 2021 Rams got robbed. Stafford is good, but not top 5. 2 Firsts, a 3rd and a #1 pick. That's too much. 1 2
Cheektowaga Chad Posted January 31, 2021 Posted January 31, 2021 I also think mcvay is why goff has been an average QB. He just never developed past needing his hand held to be a qb
mannc Posted January 31, 2021 Posted January 31, 2021 Good lord. This means Watson is worth at least 4 first round picks.

They are like that dead horse, no need beating it any further. I actually feel badly for their fans. Barry Sanders, Megatron, who else would rather quit than play there?

But Goff is 6 years younger and no way that stafford is 2 1sts and a 3rd better. Jmo I think it's an interesting microscope on the question of how much a QB's surroundings matter... Stafford has (with the exception of a couple good receivers) by and large been in a terrible situation his entire career and has still managed to be a borderline top 10 QB... Goff has been in a great situation and has played poorly for the majority of it - especially since the SB. I think we'll see what really matters, but I agree... The price is ridiculous. It's hard to imagine that being the market rate, which really makes me think McVey was just completely done with Goff and willing to pay to be rid of him - this is a tidy way to handle it. Glad stafford isn't coming to the AFC. 1

Sharky7337 Posted January 31, 2021 Posted January 31, 2021 A franchise young qb is def worth at least 4 firsts. Your talking a position that some teams tske 20 years to find that caliber of player. Jamal adams netted two firsts. Isn't Watson way better then 2 adams on a team? 1
NewEra Posted January 31, 2021 Posted January 31, 2021 I figured 2 1sts and a 3rd would be the asking price to take Goffs contract off the Rams hands. I think the Rams got a helluva deal and the lions are worse than ever 1

With a top 5 defense and McVay's heavy action offense, Stafford is going to be very good. The Rams were done with Goff and were stuck with a horrible contract. 2

whatdrought Posted January 31, 2021 Posted January 31, 2021 This is what i immediately thought. Between taking Goff and not getting a first this year the relative value of this is probably closer to 1 first and 1 second. 3
