We’ve objectively been one of the top drafting teams over the last 4 years. I’ll post the information tomorrow.

I get you’re upset but suggesting to jettison a HC that has changed the perception (and reality of Buffalo) after decades of misery seems a little foolish. He had us a game away from the Super Bowl today and has consistently improved each year as a coach. The reality is very few coaches outside of Belichick and now it looks like Reid have been pumping out SB year after year, if you keep chasing that with no direction it’s useless.

I just want a super bowl win. Years upon years and years of failure. It never ends. When, how much longer. Just wait, be patient, for how long? I’m not saying he needs to be fired, but I’m tired of losing. No more excuses.

every team played defense like that today. except maybe us? ton of it going on in the GB TB game for sure

Yup...why wouldn't you if you see the refs aren't calling it? Baltimore did it to a large degree last week as well against us.

Yea I was worried about that going into the playoffs...the flags don't get thrown all that much in playoff football

Lol because the one time all game we tried it they immediately threw a flag.

Obviously not the reason we avoided it, but I just found it funny.

Sounds like KC has drafted better than the Bills have. And yet people treat our management like kings lol.

They keep drafting speed and more speed

That’s good. They are an all pro organization. Look at all the top teams in the league and look how they run those teams. Consistently hit on players in the draft. While Beane is one of the best we have had in many years, it’s not good enough. He either needs to improve or our cap situation will only get worse.

Surprised at how slow their backs actually are - CEH runs a 4.6 (same as Moss/Singletary) and Darrel Williams surprisingly clocked a lumbering TE-like 4.72 40 time, but he still did damage tonight. Their ability to use the running game when needed was a difference maker in both games against us. We don't have that ability, since we apparently don't have a running game.

I agree with the past comment but speed could be an easy thing to fix in one offseason. Tyreek Hill was an obvious talent but a risky one that still went in the 5th round primarily as a return specialist. If you focus on speed and hit on the draft just like KC did with Hill, then you're right there.

I think there is some truth to that and certain organizations seem to prioritize speed, KC being an obvious example.  Look at Indy, for example, who picked up isiah Rodgers out of U Mass in round 6; he is a threat every time he touches the ball.  The Bills never seem to find those kind of guys. We also seem to draft slow running backs, which is just inexplicable to me...

They played Legion of Doom style like Seattle did back in the days...commit defensive holding and illegal contact downfield on every passing play and dare the refs to call it.  They have swallowed their whistles the entire playoffs so far and today's game was no execption.  Should have been better prepared to deal with it but we were not.

Agree. We got pushed around until the fight at the end. Welcome to playoff football. Next time we should be ready.

I think he’s talking specifically about or defensive backs. Hill’s speed specifically really hurt us.

We also got hurt not having a speed option out of the backfield. McKenzie provides some of that in the run game, but it’s too gadgety.

Singletary’s dropped pass which led to Yeldon coming into the game I believe was a microcosm of how ineffective he’s been this year.

I expect them to look for DB’s

who can play more press when necessary to disrupt opposing teams speed.

I expect them to look for RB options who can add speed to stretch the field horizontally.

I expect them to look for someone on defense who can really get after the QB.

Hey, I’m not ok with losing. If you guys are happy we can’t win super bowls, so be it. But some of us expect better.

I’m not ok with losing either. What I am ok with is seeing that year over year we are making significant and necessary foundational strides to get there, including signature wins, AFCE championship, franchise QB, et al. Winning a SB is a process, even Hoodie would agree with that.

Which is fine. I’m more frustrated than mad. The only thing I’m mad at is being nearly maxed out in cap space with an underwhelming defense with an expensive Allen contract on deck. How can we expect to improve the roster enough to beat KC going forward if Allen potentially handicaps our team spending. I wouldn’t feel this way if Beane hit on more of his picks.

McD, you didn’t get out-sped, you got outcoached BADLY. It’s like he didn’t even know what playoff football was about

He did get out-coached for sure, but don't be salty.  I hate to say it, but they were the better team to tonight.  We had a great season, lets not be sore sosers

Every GM hits and misses on picks - some better than others.  KC is paying Mahomes, Hill, Kelce, Chris Jones, Frank Clark, Mathieau, etc. all on big contracts (and even Watkins).  Beane will figure it out and KC can't hang on to everyone long term.  Its all good

chiefs brought it, no doubt. but im sore about how the bills lost since they didnt play with aggression.

While it seems obvious, if you’ve seen the video...I’m just saying, as the off-season evolves, I think this is a theme you will see with our additions, is getting this team faster

Yeah, interesting that most of the analyst talk during the week about the Bills defense focused on “they may not be big, but they’re fast”.    Need to find a Darrell Green.   I don’t know how many times I saw him cover a lot of ground to run somebody down.  We had nobody in the secondary even close to the speed of Tyreek Hill or Hardman.   Granted, most teams don’t. Alternative is to be physical.  They didn’t do that either.

While obvious, the way he stated this in his post game presser made it obvious:  speed is the key on his agenda in the offseason.

So it took two losses and a full season to figure out KC had speed, after they were dropping  safeties 20 yards of Los the first game. Watching them last year win the SB was not a key to their speed?  Speed didn’t blitz josh. Speed didn’t shut down the offense or make us a horrible running team. Lots more needed than speed to compete with Kc. Need some way to pressure qb, some way to handle blitzes, Backs that can pass protect and catch for example. Lol!  Gotta laugh cuz if it took this to know KC had a lot of speed , our process needs to learn how to speed read! 😀😉

Reid is McD's boogeyman. In both losses to KC McD called games of ***** ball that would have made Jauron blush. This loss starts with scared ***** coaching. Then anything else to dissect comes after that.
