"If the Lord Almighty came down and said, ‘Joe, get out of the race,’ I’d get out of the race. The Lord Almighty’s not coming down”

What WAS That?

By Bob Hoge

FTA:

Political junkies therefore tuned in Wednesday night for an Oval Office speech by Joe Biden, who was supposedly going to explain why he abandoned his reelection efforts despite vociferously assuring us for months that there was no chance that he would do so.

Would the president deliver moving remarks? Would he bring the country together in the way that Ronald Reagan did after the Challenger disaster or George W. Bush did after 9/11? Would he come clean on his health issues, which are so obvious to any sentient American? Would he fully reveal his thought process surrounding the monumental decision to give up on his campaign? Would he explain how he’s still capable of running the country for six more months despite the fact that he’s now essentially a lame duck?

No, no, no, no, and no. He did none of those things. In fact, it was an inexplicable, sleep-inducing monologue that tried to throw in all sorts of high-minded ideals like “democracy” and “who we are” but essentially said nothing.

Biden has delivered angry speeches, he’s delivered divisive speeches where he calls half of the electorate enemies of democracy, he’s dropped remarks that he’s plagiarized from others, but this… this was a nothing speech. He revealed little of consequence, he assuaged no fears, he accomplished zero except perhaps to show that he’s still breathing. I have no idea what the point of it was, and except for shameless cheerleaders like CNN’s Van Jones—who was once again almost in tears, he was so moved—I don’t see how it helps Americans feel better about their security knowing that we have a lame-duck president who doesn’t make much sense. We all know that Xi Jinping and Vladimir Putin are paying attention.

The first thing that came to mind while watching this 13 minute lie was the Star Trek  episode where they went to  the Nazi planet. The gut they knew  was doped up and used as a puppet. Joe even looks like the actor.

So I see that "Carrie Severino" of the Judicial Crisis Network has a little problem with constitutional law. "Biden wants to do an end-run around the constitution" by reforming the Supreme Court.

Q. Where in the constitution does it say there will be 9 justices on the Supreme Court?

A. Nowhere. We've had as few as 6, as many as today's 9. So if the talk is of expanding the Supreme Court, well, that's a political matter that has nothing to do with the constitution.

If it was a Liberal 6-3 SCOTUS, we wouldn't be having this discussion.  What a joke.  What a mess.

Of course not.

Hey, check this one out: a 2017 proposal on court reform from Federalist Society kingpin Stephen Calabresi, all hot and bothered about how Obama appointees had given the federal courts a Democratic tilt.

Stand by.

If we somehow elect the one unburdened by what has been, you are going to change that view.

Unburdened By Shame, Anything Is Possible

David Strom

As we get inundated by denunciations of Trump's "lies," in which every salesman's use of hyperbole, puffery, and humor is distorted into a Republic-threatening Hitlerian assault on human rights and dignity, the press ignores the fact that the Democrats' campaign is built entirely upon a series of proven hoaxes.

The "Fine people" hoax gets repeated endlessly, and the mainstream media is just fine with it. Without it, the Trump as Hitler meme falls apart, and everybody in the Establishment needs the "Trump as Hitler" meme to persist among Democrats and Never Trumpers.

"Trump told people to drink bleach" is an oldie but a goodie. Obviously false in whole and in every part, the disconnect with reality is a feature, not a bug. The closer the Democrats get to reality, the more exposed their own weirdness and insanity become clear.

"Suckers and losers" is especially rich, given that the Democrats are still pushing the hoax that their own Vice President is a retired Command Seargent Major and war veteran who ran away from deployment. The Democrats can literally say anything and the trained seals in the mainstream media will scream, "Joy!"

If the past few decades have taught us anything it is that shamelessness is a superpower in politics. I remember when Gary Hart dropped out of the race for president when his sexual shenanigans were revealed to the world. Bill Clinton, though, knew to stick it out and now he is an eminence grise.

The Democrats learned a major lesson: ignore the facts, ignore reality, keep your head high, and lie constantly.

It's not just the Democrats that learned this lesson: it was the mainstream media, the propaganda arm of the left. Back in the 1980s, they had yet to realize the brainwashing power they exerted. They knew they could put their thumb on the scale and help the Democrats by picking and choosing the stories that they emphasized. But they didn't yet realize that they could completely rewrite the script of reality and create a Truman Show.

Unburdened by what has been and any shame about being North Korea-style propagandists, the MSM-DNC-transnational elite axis of evil simply ignore reality, invent a new one, and suppress inconvenient facts. And it usually works, with few exceptions.
