He's not on the practice squad.

Didn't we have this discussion a while ago?  He's a tall, strong WR who can block well.   He's listed at 209 lbs and 6'4"

That doesn't qualify him as a TE.  He'd have to gain about 30 lbs.

30 lbs it is, zingo!!!!

one day we can all hope and dream for a game when Kumerow, Duke, and Antonio Williams will all be active and on the field at the same time.

Imagine a lineup of Josh Allen with...

WR- Stills, Kumerow, Duke, Gentry

RB- Williams, Wade

TE- Becker?  May as well also throw in Sweeney even though not technically PS

Would probably still be at least as competitive as some teams in the league, especially the Jets.

Typically, when you have a 28 yr old guy who's a "fringe" player as a WR and tall enough to play tight end, if he hasn't already gained 30 lbs and transitioned it's probably because his frame and metabolism won't allow this.

He’s almost like having another athletic TE, I would probably try and transition him to that position.

Almost but not really.

Wait...you didn't hear that Allen was moved to the practice squad recently?

And you call yourself a mod. 😉

Honestly - I hope he ends up being in out camp next off season. We went from having arguably the worst WR core to possibly the best/deepest? Keeping him our depth would be:

Current Starting 5:

Diggs

Brown

Beasley

Davis

McKenzie (imo we are keeping him to eventually replace Beasley and Roberts as he's only 25)

Roberts is our 6th and Pro-Bowl Returner

Backup and/or Depth:

Kenny Stills (Good lord what a stash and eventual Brown replacement as someone that's 2 yrs younger and is basically the same - i admit brown is the better of the two but age/health/cost is always a consideration?)

Isaiah Hodgins (Was supposedly almost as good as Davis before going on IR)

Jake Kumerow (Duke Who?)

I mean.... lord have mercy when Beane wants to focus on a position the man goes hard.

Based on the highly intelligent conversation that followed his brief tenure here, i've chosen to pronounce his name thusly:

Duh Rick

In all seriousness, that is a better lineup than we had in Josh's rookie season -- especially late in the season when the RB corps was decimated.
