NoHuddleKelly12 Posted January 18, 2021 Posted January 18, 2021 (edited) An instant classic, given Joe Montana as Chiefs QB, and the Bills going to their 4th straight Super Bowl. Dominating performance from the Bills, 30-13. Edited January 18, 2021 by NoHuddleKelly12 1 1
BRH Posted January 18, 2021 Posted January 18, 2021 Best game I have ever been to in my life. I was just coming off a bout with the flu (I could barely stand up the week prior as I watched them beat the Raiders in that subzero game on my couch through a haze), and I suffered a relapse immediately afterward, but IT WAS WORTH IT. 2
buffalo2218 Posted January 18, 2021 Posted January 18, 2021 Ah the Thurman Thomas show. Dude went off in this game 1
BADOLBILZ Posted January 18, 2021 Posted January 18, 2021 I will never forget being at that one.........just a ton of crazy sh*t happened that day and the way it went down it looked like there was no end in site for the Bills AFC domination. Just manhandled the Chiefs........it was the easiest run thru the playoffs that 4x AFC champ Bills team had. As it turned out the AFC remained ripe for the taking for another couple years but the Bills got ravaged by free agency. One of the enduring memories tho was watching all those stunned mid-westerners roll into that scene in the parking lots in their buses. They were stunned by the verbal abuse/trash talking. Bills fans were not used to facing off against fans who showed up for the game with their sewing kits.......they were ready to deal with the likes of Steelers and Raider and Miami fans. KC fans were calling WGR after the game to complain about the treatment and it was certainly warranted. 1
Nextmanup Posted January 18, 2021 Posted January 18, 2021 Ironically, that game also involved a concussion of KC's QB. We knocked Montana out of that one with a sack and hit to the head. Remember the game very well. That was a long time ago! 1
DaBillsFanSince1973 Posted January 18, 2021 Posted January 18, 2021 not to be technical but that wasn't "Joe Cool" s last game but he damn sure was knocked in to the next week by the trio of smith, hansen and wright. he would start 14 games in the '94 season and helped to lead the chiefs to a 9-7 record and his final postseason appearance where they lost to dan marino and the fins 27-17. I think making such a big deal about montana as the media did it pissed off the defense and they made sure to remind them "Joe who"? 1
Buffalo Boy Posted January 18, 2021 Posted January 18, 2021 (edited) Sat in the lower EZ ,opposite the tunnel with my buddies Jay and Tom. Warm rainy day that saw the 26 year old me trashed to the bejeezus by the end of the game. They had a bunch of Sheriffs on horses around the sidelines to dissuade us from rushing the field( goal posts are expensive???) My buddy Jay reached over the pile trying to get on the field and grabbed a Burke Security guys hat right off his head. Still, I can’t believe how rowdy those Drive in Mafia types were😜 Edited January 18, 2021 by Buffalo Boy 3
