Are a lot of you secretly hoping it was a concussion so he might not play because you are scared to play against him? lol

I am sure the Bills will be prepared and not afraid ;)

As for the fans? what does it matter?

My preference is Henne for obvious reasons.

Any dizziness  shown like that which occurs from a player during a play will be always considered a concussion and the player will always be placed in such to determine if it was.

They can't simply put a player in it, then immediately take him out regardless of the initial diagnosis.

You can call it nonsense all you want, but you, and no one on this board, knows if it was an actual concussion or pinch nerve.  The only persons that know are mahomes, the doctors treating him, and certain staff members.

When is quacks like a duck and waddles like a duck, 99% of the time it is a DUCK.

I agree we all.dont know what it is.  But ill go with what is more likely, more obvious, and he suffered a concussion.

If you want to latch onto a very unlikely diagnosis, which the team doctors would have immobilized or not let him run into the locker room if they thought a pinched nerve, then go for it

Would it make you feel better if they rushed Mahomes back for your entertainment and the Bills ended his career?

 Yeah I get it.

I honestly believe first thought was concussion all the way. But as they were looking at him (and it might sound ridiculous) that they determined that it was a tweak of a nerve in the neck/spine and not a concussion like originally thought.  Which is why they didn't immobilze his neck etc, since he was moving, just wobbling a bit.

Just my thoughts.

What?!??!  wth are you talking about.

My post was a joke.

And to answer your question........ not sure why I am even.....

But no, I don't want any player rushed back or not right just to play.  If he is cleared, then let him play. If doctors say no, then he sits. Its simple.

Hmm, sounds fishy to me. I have also heard them say he had the wind knocked out of him.  There is no way they stop him from playing in a premier game like this one.

To me it looked like the way his head was bent it was something like a sleeper hold in wrestling or MMA where it cuts off oxygen to the brain temporarily...I didn't see how he could have a concussion because he never got hit in the head or had his head hit the ground...

If all goes well I would like to look back on this season without any what Ifs.

Josh Allen vs Patrick Mahomes in the AFC Championship game is what all football fans want to see.

It doesn't get any better...

I for the life of me don't get this "Do you want to face Mahomes or not?" and what that means to fans.

The Bills organization and the fans have nothing to do with whether he plays or not and should just deal with the facts.

If he plays he plays, if he doesn't he doesn't.  We got no say in it and it shouldn't affect how we feel about it.

I'm just speculating but I think the Bills coaches and players are feeling exactly the same way.

As far as what the Chiefs staff, medical team and what the independent NFL doctor determine it's ALL ON THEM.

Personally I'll watch the Chiefs Injury Reports just like I do any other week.

I'm wondering if "pinched nerve" could be the team dr's layman/"use with the media" term for cervicogenic dizziness. The first few paragraphs of this are interesting if anyone is interested. As you can glean from the article, its controversial. But maybe thats just what they are looking for with a trip to the super bowl on the line.

Worst two months of my life was from a pinched nerve in my neck last winter.( pain perspective ) Arms going numb, felt like I was gettiing stabbed with a hot knife in the shoulder blade over and over again. Stomach out of wack. If its bad it can screw with all kinds of things. It even sent my blood pressure rocketing into the low 200's from the pain.

Play QB? I could barely get out of bed...

Not even kidding about this, but I think the best indicator will be how the Vegas line moves (if at all) in the next few days.

Many millions of dollars (if not more) will be bet on this game. I do understand that the line moves based on betting as well, but if the casinos/Sportsbooks get a tip that he won’t play, that KC-3 might turn into a pick em, a Bills -2, or it might get taken off altogether. Keep an eye there. Just my two cents.

Really hope he’s feeling better. Those legs and eyes did not tell the story of a quick pinched nerve.

Ironically thats almost exactly the way to look at it.

Pat McAfee on his podcast said its a very big deal

There is no way to say how well he is doing or will be doing.

He clearly had a concussion IMO.  So, he could be feeling fine today, wake up tomorrow, and be depressed and dizzy all day long.  His symptoms could remain constant, or be sporadic, for months.  Or not.

I quoted a study done in another post that said the median time out for a QB on the protocol was 7 days, as measured over a 4 year period of time I believe.

That's the median, so it means some were shorter but some were much longer than 7 days.

Neck concussion.  Can be very very serious.

Have you ever seen any of these professional gladiators able to choke someone unconscious in 2 seconds?  Because that is about how long the tackle took.

Lol "professional gladiators"

By far the most difficult and grueling sport on the planet. #respect

To your point, it was pretty damn quick.
