Mahomes passed all tests last night, appears to be pinched nerve, not a concussion

He is simply getting the Mahome's rate for a concussion, no missed games. Also available to Aaron Rodgers.  And oddly Jake Fromm.  No one else.

Chris Brown just reported on One Bills Live that Andy Reid in his morning presser said Mahomes is in concussion protocol.

I thought it was a neck injury when I saw it. The Browns player almost tore his head off.

 

With that twist of the neck and all the weight falling down it very well could have cut the blood off to his brain, almost like a choke or strike to the neck.

If that nerve got damaged it could be a huge issue for him. Might be worse than a concussion.

Smells fishy is right. Watch Reid's postgame presser. He looks like he's really shaken. My daughter, a psych major, identified it in the speeding up and slowing down of his speech patterns. Never seen him like that. Plus, what in the hell does "he passed all the deals" mean. If 15 "passed all the deals" why wasn't 15 in the game???

It makes sense that he would go through the protocols to make sure he is ok. 

 

He's already had some pretty significant injuries in his young career. I hope Daboll is paying attention. Protect the franchise!

 

Better to punt on that play and have your QB for the rest of the game. 

 

IMO Mahomes came very close to a broken neck on that play. Watch the replay. It's scary the way the Browns player is twisting his neck with two hands on his helmet. We almost had something very, very bad happen to the NFL's biggest young star.
