3 or 4 more years wasted with no chance of doing anything...Lions and Jets fans must feel like Bills fans used to in the drought with these ridiculous coaching hires.

Is it me or is this an incredibly uninspiring hire?

You can only hire someone who is willing to be hired.

Why would any of the good coaching candidates want to go to the Lions??

They have to take what they can get. We experienced this in the lean years.

I'll see you a Rex and raise you a Marone. Oh boy. Glad we finally got our HC, GM and QB

Not sure how this isn’t great news.

1. it’s actually a great hire by Detroit

2. One less spot for Daboll

Based upon past performance, I did not think that was literally possible. 🤔

He played for the Bills a few years didn't he?

I think we traded a 4th rounder for him in the early 90's.

No, you're thinking of Mark Campbell.

They get someone who’s been learning under Peyton, an offensive guy that can help get things turned around in Detroit and best of all it’s not someone from the Bills staff.

It all will come down to how much the players buy in regarding what he is telling them and if he is able to get the people who won't buy in off the team.

And that is before even coaching comes into play.

That goes for any coach.

Honestly, reminds me a lot of the McDermott hire.
