Bangarang Posted January 18, 2021 Posted January 18, 2021 Not much to get excited about if you’re a Lions fan.
Big Turk Posted January 18, 2021 Posted January 18, 2021 3 or 4 more years wasted with no chance of doing anything...Lions and Jets fans must feel like Bills fans used to in the drought with these ridiculous coaching hires.

Why would any of the good coaching candidates want to go to the Lions?? They have to take what they can get. We experienced this in the lean years. 1 1

I'll see you a Rex and raise you a Marone. Oh boy. Glad we finally got our HC, GM and QB

Yav Posted January 18, 2021 Posted January 18, 2021 Not sure how this isn’t great news. 1. it’s actually a great hire by Detroit 2. One less spot for Daboll 1

CNYfan Posted January 18, 2021 Posted January 18, 2021 He played for the Bills a few years didn't he? I think we traded a 4th rounder for him in the early 90's.

It all will come down to how much the players buy in regarding what he is telling them and if he is able to get the people who won't buy in off the team. And that is before even coaching comes into play. Edited January 18, 2021 by Big Turk

warrior9 Posted January 18, 2021 Posted January 18, 2021 Honestly, reminds me a lot of the McDermott hire. "Let's see, we don't know much about him but I like his philosophy to building a team and culture." 1
london_bills Posted January 18, 2021 Posted January 18, 2021 Wasn't even a OC/DC which is interesting
