I just played the game on Madden with Mahomes healthy. I ran it in spectator mode using my corrected CPU sliders. 44-35 Bills.Singletary, Bass, Diggs and Edmunds played well. Beasley had 2 TD's. Trent Murphy was OK too. Norman had a pick. Josh had 2 TD's -- 1 by land and 1 by air. He also had 1 fumble (lost) and 1 pick.

The big topic this week will be Mahomes of course, but there’s also big injury concerns for the chiefs.

Breeland one of their top corners also went out with a concussion and did not return.

He is a good player and would be a huge loss for the chiefs.

Breeland probably just got the wind knocked out of him  /sarcasm

I guess i shouldnt be surprised but i'm a little annoyed by the narrative today. I expected to get into my office and click on my morning shows to enjoy some solid bills discussion.... i was sorely mistaken. its been a whole morning of "what the ravens did wrong". Nothing really about how well the bills played against what was allegedly "the hottest team in football".

Its funny to me that all last week it was how the ravens cannot be stopped. Well they get stopped and now its "the front office and the coaches have failed their team". Like..... seriously? Just last week they were getting praise for that exact style of play.

I will give GMFB some credit though. They're coverage and analysis was pretty even. As usual.

Mahomes will play.

Remember Tom Savage basically had a seizure on the field...in front of a ref...then came back into the game before being pulled...

That is the NFL concussion protocol at work.

Also, guys like Tim Connolly or Sydney Crosby miss months and months at a time with concussions. Has there ever been an NFL player who have missed 2 months of play due to concussion? It is performative. Or at best it is like going to the ER with chest pains. Run a bunch of tests, tell you to go home, rest, get with your GP,see a specialist, and you are not in any immediate danger of dying. But that isn't a clean bill of health by any stretch.

Also: Mahomes is one of the three biggest stars (Brady and Rodgers are the other two) in what is by far and away the most popular spectator sport in America, and Sunday night’s game is likely to be the second-most watched event in America in 2021 (after the SB). I will be absolutely shocked if he doesn’t play, and I fully expect to see him out there.

The answer to "what the ravens did wrong" is simple.  Lamar Jackson.

I'm not surprised by the narrative at all. Allen didn't exactly light up the stat sheet otherwise the Bills would be hyped up quite a bit more. The defense is getting props no doubt but it was well earned. Allen's performance against the Colts however, was a bit slighted given his performance IMO.

1 vs 2 and you know Mahomes is playing. Dude was tweeting after the game. Expect him to be doing non football work their first day of practice on Wednesday and to be cleared by Friday. We want to be the best let’s go beat them in their house. I don’t fear them. They don’t scare me. They should be scared of us. We won’t wilt under pressure.

PS:  Sammy Watkins has officially spent more games in street clothes then he has with either KC or the Bills...

Well if he (or his media team) was tweeting then he's definitely ready to play an NFL game.

Based on the concussion protocol outlines I don't think he can be cleared earlier than Saturday.

Allen played a clean game vs arguably the hottest d in the league.... just a bit disappointed is all. But like I said, I shouldnt be surprised.

True dat. I'm hoping for a cleaner game next week, and definitely hoping for the Josh Allen from the last 3 weeks of the regular season

Re the Ravens, the basic story is what it has always been: L Jackson is a much better Tyrod Taylor, which is not a recipe for hoisting the Lombardy.  I also hope he fully recovers from the concussion and love that we have again raised a lot of $$ for a worthy cause.

This is going to be a freaking long week

Espcially having to wait until 6 PM Sunday. I loved having the early Colts Saturday game and even Saturday night was nice too. Sunday at 6 isnt as nice turn around to get ready for work Monday morning (win or lose)!

So Motor is injured, I totally missed it. How did injury look? Hope he plays with Moss out too.

Could be Freeman's first game as a Bill. I know the masses want Yeldon/Freeman, but I wouldn't be too upset with Freeman/Williams if Motor can't go

This is where I am at. I really don’t like a lot of those chiefs players. But Mahomes is great.

this may not happen, but it would be great to have his status determined and hopefully confirmed ASAP.  I think the uncertainty over his condition is going to just detract from the run-up to what should be a great game.

I'm fine with all the attention being on Mahomes.   I think we all know he's going to play, and the Bills will be preparing for him.

Yikes.

Freeman is washed and signed a week ago......Still incomprehensible Yeldon gets no carries for this football team.

Yikes has pretty much been the narrative for the Bills running game this year. Did we even have a 100 yard rusher in any game during the regular season?  Hell at this point, bring back Meatball on short yardage situations
