Mahomes is playing.  I'm not reporting any news, but I think we all know that he will be cleared.

The injury to watch is Mahomes foot.  He kills teams with his ability to prance for first downs.

Nobody knows that for certain.  If he has a concussion, there are quite a few hurdles with the protocol and the nfl won't be interfering.

Now there are 2 other quotes out there:

1. Andy reid: said he was doing well after the game, and said he got hit in the back of head but wind was knocked out of him

2. Glazer said he was told that mahomes injury mimicked a "choke out" situation, reduced blood flow hence unstable limbs.

I obviously don't know, but Reids quote sounds foolish.  Glazer could be true, but I'll have to say that I have never witnessed this in a football game.

People shot down your take because you stated (or similar to this): that you sometimes have similar issues (legs or limbs numb) when turning/contorting your neck...

Nobody knows what thr deal is yet, and the nfl doesn't put mahomes in the protocol.  It is a team physician and independent neurologists (hired by nfl).

Eh whatevs...

I don't care anymore.

People on the net just want to be right about their opinions.  Me included.  I voiced mine and they voiced theirs.

And my take in relations to contorting the neck is just using my own experience to explain something. Guess I am the only one that understands it.

Maybe. Mahomes stayed down for a little while. One would think it would an instantaneous issue, not so prolonged as to when he got up.

He sure looked dazed and confused sitting in the tent.

We shall see.

Matters not.

You’re judging an entire fanbase on some online schmucks. The fans at Arrowhead were incredibly welcoming to our small group of Bills fans. I even got fed some great ribs at the tailgate. The recent success has bred some bandwagoners with bad attitudes, but I can’t say they are the majority whatsoever. One of my best friends is a Chiefs fan and he’s a great guy.

I will echo this.  I have a guys weekend every year (pre-COVID) where we go to a new city and take in a football and hockey game.  My favorite tailgating experience was in KC.  Everyone I met was friendly, sharing food/drinks, playing games and having a great time.  Every fan base has their idiots, but my experience was great in KC.

Chiefs scored 19 points in the first half and Mahommes had 253 passing yards. If Mahommes finishes the game they score 40 points.

Disagree. Could have been more, but the Browns held them to FGs. Mahomes was not the same after his toe injury, too. Browns did a nice job in the third quarter before Mahomes went out.

Well, I certainly hope we don't have to line up against Chad Henne.

I think he still has a chip on his shoulder for being drafted behind Brian Brohm.

Need to veer clear of shoulder chippers.

I wish Mahomes a speedy recovery. I really think this team can beat the Chiefs at full strength.

After playing a couple very good defensive football teams, I can see our offense really taking off Sunday.

This is a much different team than the one the chiefs faced In October. I don’t know what that will mean ultimately, but I’m excited to find out.

Pretty amazing that McDermott gets to go against the guy who fired him for a chance to get to the Super Bowl.  Go Bills!

Yeah - media talks a lot about the "mentor" storyline, I know they get along well and McD respects him - but the guy still did can him

Didn’t expect any less, but Skip Bayless is such a tool. Lamar had a better QBR than Josh in the game. Great....I guess.

Well he did throw a 101 yd TD ;)

Agree with this. He was really hobbling with that toe injury, and it seemed to really affect his ability to scramble and his ability to step into throws. He looked very different to me after that injury, even before he got knocked out of the game.

Toe injuries like turf toe can be very tough for runners to gut out...

Mahomes will play.

Remember Tom Savage basically had a seizure on the field...in front of a ref...then came back into the game before being pulled...

That is the NFL concussion protocol at work.

Also, guys like Tim Connolly or Sydney Crosby miss months and months at a time with concussions. Has there ever been an NFL player who have missed 2 months of play due to concussion? It is performative. Or at best it is like going to the ER with chest pains. Run a bunch of tests, tell you to go home, rest, get with your GP,see a specialist, and you are not in any immediate danger of dying. But that isn't a clean bill of health by any stretch.

The Browns seemed to, somewhat, contain that Chiefs Offense after they jumped out on them early and before Mahomes went out.

The biggest play of the game was Higgins fumbling out of the end zone.  That was a killer, and credit to the Browns for not having their will broken after that.

He obviously had more than the wind knocked out of him due to (1) the way he wobbled and (2) the game got tight and he would have come back into the game if he just had the wind knocked out of him.

Reid has no reason to tell the truth about it so he won’t

And 3) He was examined by medical staff who determined he suffered a concussion.  Reid was obviously trying to downplay it hoping things will work out this week but "got the wind kncoked out of him" was a really stupid choice of words
