So Bill-sy that this, of course, is the week with extra day of rest.

The Bills have an extra days rest, not KC.

Does anyone beleive that the KC doctors will rule him out?

Zero chance.

I've seen this sentiment offered several times around this forum tonight, and I totally disagree with it.

Educate yourself.  He has to be cleared by an independent physician and if the system is rigged, why not put him back in the game today after he got knocked out of it?

Come on man.

Do the KC doctor's actually get to made that determination?

Anyone who wishes a head injury on another person clearly has not had enough life experience.  If you have you would not wish it on your worst enemy.

I’ve never had one (yet, thank goodness).  But I’m not a garbage human. I think the mods really need to ban anyone who even jokes about it.

edit: also remember that this is a public site. As much credit as we get for our philanthropy, it would be REALLY easy for another team to find some of these garbage posts to destroy the reputation of a fan base made up of people who just want their team to win.

I've watched this 20 times, at full speed and slow speed, and I can't for the life of me figure out how he got concussed.  Wilson didn't hit him with his helmet and it sure doesn't look like Mahomes's helmet even hit the turf...very strange.

How about everyone joking about how KC has no concern for Mahomes' health and will rig the protocol to get him back on the field?  It's just as stupid.

I'm not too proud to say I'd be happy going to the SB because he's out. Fine by me.

I'm not proud to say if he does play & is iffy that the Bills go after him early to get him out of the game. They have their Super Bowl and we need ours.  Fine by me

Not sure why my post got a “confused” emoji.

Fwiw there doesn’t have to be an “impact” for a player to get concussed - any jarring of the brain within the cranium can cause a concussion. His head snaps forward violently as he’s tackled around his neck, hell, his neck/spinal cord gets flexed over the tacklers arm too.

Very violent motion that easily could concuss anyone.

Not sure what kind of doctor this guy is, but this is a really good video.  Now I think I finally understand what happened to him.  Seems pretty unlikely he plays vs. the Bills.

regardless of talent. too many hits like that and today will end a career, even life. ironic that two of the top afc Qbs were taken out of a playoff game due to concussion. just shows how violent.

Joe Montana's career ended by a concussion in a playoff game back in 1993.

Jim Kelly's career ended in a concussion as he was lying on the artificial grass as he took a hit from the Jaguars defender

Correct. Administered by independent neurologic/neurosurgical specialists that are not team affiliated,  though are typically local and contracted through the league office. Quite often they are affiliated with an academic medical institution. They’re often the same independent specialists that are present on the sidelines.
