Penfield45 Posted January 17, 2021 Posted January 17, 2021 Jets and Dolphins favorites right now to get him. If the Texans trade him to another AFC team I hope their entire franchise goes up in flames. 2 1 1
FireChans Posted January 17, 2021 Posted January 17, 2021 @Alphadawg7 Let me just get ahead of this right now. lol 2

Virgil Posted January 17, 2021 Posted January 17, 2021 This sounds crazy, but if I’m Baltimore, I’d trade Lamar for him straight up 10 1 1 1

Coach Tuesday Posted January 17, 2021 Posted January 17, 2021 As I just said in another thread - it’s too bad you can’t fire owners. Trading Watson within the conference is a fireable offense - especially after the Tunsil, Hopkins and Clowney debacles. 7 1 1

Ralonzo Posted January 17, 2021 Posted January 17, 2021 Aren't half the NFC QB's collecting Social Security? What's wrong with one of them? 2 1

If the Texans trade him to another AFC team I hope their entire franchise goes up in flames. Bear in mind that Schefter is often a shill for the agents. It is one thing for a team to trade away a pick that might be used to draft a high-potential franchise QB. It is another thing for a team to trade away an actual, proven, franchise QB I don't see how a GM or GM/Coach combination could possibly recover from that unless they got a sure-fire franchise QB at least as good or better in return. Moreover, if they trade Watson, the Texans immediately eat $21.6M of dead cap. Right now, they're something like $17.6M in the red. Unless the Texans are tremendously stupid, they tell Watson that they have $21.6M plus 5 contract years of reasons to sit tight and tell him to GTF over his feelings. Now the Texans HAVE been tremendously stupid, but allegedly those people have left the building. 14
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted January 17, 2021 Posted January 17, 2021 Praying for the Eagles. That seems to make the most sense. Texans would be absolute idiots to trade him within the conference. 6 1
MrSarcasm Posted January 17, 2021 Posted January 17, 2021 The bears need to give up whatever it takes to get him. With him at QB that team can at the very least split games with GB every year. 7
