JESSEFEFFER Posted January 17, 2021 Posted January 17, 2021 Next Gen Stats had Justin at 18.5+ mph and the only DT clocked higher this season is Aaron Donald. Justin was the first Bill to get to Taron for the celebration and, more importantly, I think he tipped that pass. The deflection slowed it down and made it land short. If so, I would want him written into the story of one of the biggest plays in Bills history. 27 2 6 3
CSBill Posted January 17, 2021 Posted January 17, 2021 Wow, it sure looks like he tips it here. He's an effort guy. 1
JMF2006 Posted January 17, 2021 Posted January 17, 2021 Line him up at RB Thats moving for a big man....no need wonder how he ran down Cam He might be faster than Cam at this stage of his career 3 1
CSBill Posted January 17, 2021 Posted January 17, 2021 Just re-watched it, it is time to make him a fullback like that dude on the Ravens. He could certainly do damage with a head of steam. 7 2

Poyer took out Brown, and White took out Jackson - the only two real threats to stop Johnson (except #78... wtf was he doing?!) Also... first Bill to Johnson to celebrate was Hyde with him slamming Johnsons face off the camera/screen lol... shakes the dang feed! 7 3

I felt a bit sorry for Taron there - it looked like he had a good pose lined up for in front of the screen, but Micah was all over him like a rash before he could do it. And the screen is pretty tough by the way it got hammered by the Bills D as they mobbed him.

I often marvel at how players don't get hurt during impromptu celebrations like that. My first reaction was don't hurt him! At least he could see him coming in the TV... 4

Stranded in Boston Posted January 17, 2021 Posted January 17, 2021 Lamar Jackson is a terrific player, but he surprisingly gave up chasing Taron at the Bills 30. Sure, maybe he figured Tre was going to screen him off anyhow, or he wanted to save it for the next series -- blah, blah. But everybody here who's watched Josh the last 3 years knows that Josh would have run down Taron -- or died trying. Sometimes it's not so hard to measure heart. 8 2 3

I did a search to find which of the Gramatica kickers hurt himself celebrating (Bill on a 42 yard, 1st quarter field goal) and found this: 23 Athletes Injured While Celebrating Last one I saw that made me think of this was when Mongo pile drove Lee Smith after his TD catch.
TPS Posted January 17, 2021 Posted January 17, 2021 I only saw the "1" on the uni during the game and thought it must have been Oliver given the speed. All I have to say is WOW! That dude can fly.
Saxum Posted January 17, 2021 Posted January 17, 2021 I called the touch real time at home. I told my friend - Zimmer touched it, the P*s killer.

TBBills Posted January 17, 2021 Posted January 17, 2021 (edited) After rewatching from a different angle he actually never touched the ball. Still good effort on the defense. Edited January 17, 2021 by TBBills 1

Doc Posted January 17, 2021 Posted January 17, 2021 Zimmer ran a 4.85 40-yard dash, at 300#. That's pretty impressive. The good news is he's under contract for next year. Can't wait to see him with a full off-season. BTW, I didn't realize he was originally signed by the Bills as an UDFA back in 2016. 1

There wasn't anything Jackson could do to catch Johnson with Tre giving Johnson an escort. Sure he's fast, but hardly the type to run through someone to make a play 2
