QB Bills Posted January 17, 2021 Posted January 17, 2021 (edited) Really happy for him. Long time Bill who's still far and away our best pass rusher. He brings it every week, even when the team has sucked. He had a few nice pressures today, but that play before the pick 6 was the game changer before the game changer. If he doesn't get to Jackson there then it's 10-10. Brown was wide open and it'd have been a completely different game. Edited January 17, 2021 by QB Bills 17 3 6 3

That couldn’t have been by design.

BillsFanSD Posted January 17, 2021 Posted January 17, 2021 Remember when Hughes was good for a 15 yard penalty pretty much every game? Guy is money since the Rex era. 12 2 3
Straight Hucklebuck Posted January 17, 2021 Posted January 17, 2021 Yeah man, the pass rush as a whole looked better tonight. I noticed Attison tonight, Hughes, Trent Murphy made a few plays, all the edge blitzes by the secondary.
Nelius Posted January 17, 2021 Posted January 17, 2021 Legend! Hughes probably played the best game of any Bill tonight. This dude played with Kyle Williams and Fred Jackson, you got to love it. Jerry truly deserves it more than anybody 5
K-9 Posted January 17, 2021 Posted January 17, 2021 (edited) Jerry came to play tonight. Great game. Shout out to Trent Murphy as well. He more than held his own after being relegated to the inactive list for most of the latter half of the season. He prepared and was ready to play. Good on him. Edited January 17, 2021 by K-9 12 1
Aussie Joe Posted January 17, 2021 Posted January 17, 2021 Some people here are already cutting Jerry next year...
stosh64 Posted January 17, 2021 Posted January 17, 2021 I'm so happy that Jerry is still here, he has taken a lot of crap playing on some **** teams here. Regardless he has always balled out. Now towards the end of his career he gets to experience a AFCCG and possible SB. Well earned Mr Hughes...Well earned! Thank you for your years of dedication to the Buffalo Bills. 6 1
Nelius Posted January 17, 2021 Posted January 17, 2021 Watching replays and he just bullrushed and abused two different lineman before tossing Lamar down pretty aggressively in front of their face on one of the sacks. So quick. Hughes is a beast.
TroutDog Posted January 17, 2021 Posted January 17, 2021 I believe he was rather ‘sung’. 😃 Game wrecker.

Says a lot about his character, and the coaches keeping him bought in. 2

He may not physically be in his prime anymore, but hes equally as valuable as he was before, in a better defensive scheme. Unless he falls off a cliff rapidly, hes got atleast 2 good years left 2 2
below Posted January 17, 2021 Posted January 17, 2021 Very impressive how he switched to LE this year, after spending his whole career on the right side.
Mark Vader Posted January 17, 2021 Posted January 17, 2021 22 minutes ago, Aussie Joe said: Some people here are already cutting Jerry next year... Which is weird to me. Jerry Hughes is 32 and has shown no signs of slowing down. The way I feel, you keep him here and let him play as long as he wants. I think we can get 3-4 more years out of him. 1 1
Saxum Posted January 17, 2021 Posted January 17, 2021 So what kind of song to think is most suitable for Jerry Hughes? A Viking battle song? A ballad? An Irish Drinking song? An epic song? I am thinking Eye of the Tiger updated to be the Horns and Hooves the Buffalo.
