Would only wish him well if he gets the gig but selfishly I want to keep the band together. But it is true the extra 3rds would ease the pain a bit.

One thing is for sure: with how meticulously prepared Beane and McDermott are and how attractive these Bills coordinator jobs are now, I have absolute faith that good replacements will be found.

What do you mean by extra 3rds?

Compensatory draft picks if a minority coordinator is elevated from your staff to a head coaching gig.

I like Frazier.

I also like third round draft picks 🤔

Daboll is easy to say his loss would be huge. Frazier is much harder because it’s so much harder to tell what his specific value is. I’d be fine with finding out, but I’m happier to keep him.

Replacing our missing 4th with a 3rd would be very nice though...

I would absolutely trade Frazier for two 3rd round picks.

This defense could use a bit of a reset anyways. Lots of fat to cut this off-season. And we need to start hitting on some draft picks.

McD would figure it out or just call plays himself. Frazier is a good dude and a good coach but he's much more replaceable IMO

when it’s put that way it definitely seems more doable.

That’s essentially saying you’d trade him for Dawson Knox and Zach Moss, which I think most of us would....

I can see the attraction of a calming presense type like Frazier to Houston's ownership. But I am not sure it is enough to quell the locker room and Watson in particular.

I think the Bills have a DC in waiting with John Butler (DB coach) or Eric Washington (DL coach). Frazier would bring a calming presence to the Texans who are in complete chaos right now.

Washington’s DL hasn’t done much in his first year to make me jump at the idea that he’s deserving of a promotion.

I feel like Frazier is recieving the credit for improving the defense and getting more aggressive in places.  I 100% feel that was Mcdermott. I think they hire from within or outside does really matter its Mcdermotts scheme and defense.  He just does not handle the game day calling of plays.
