And he was a hometown hero. This D with Mack would be Xtra nasty. Sammy never lived up to his draft slot.

If you watch tape from the Clemson days, there's nothing that indicated otherwise. Sometimes things don't pan out. The problem was that Watkins made most of his plays / yards at Clemson from screen plays. Like to the tune of 70% or so. Which is kinda confusing because the Bills offense didn't run many screen plays back then. 2
Sammy Watkins' Rib Posted January 16, 2021 Posted January 16, 2021 Dude was never the same after his rib injury during preseason of his rookie year.

Miyagi-Do Karate Posted January 16, 2021 Posted January 16, 2021 I actually think Sammy will have a good game tomorrow. He can be just as effective of a decoy on the bench— just needs to wave his hands a lot. 3

In the whole history of the NFL, this was the most anyone gave up to trade up for a WR. Nothing in his clemson tape suggests he was going to be the best WR ever.

I just get a kick out of people who say, I can't believe we drafted player X over player Y years after the fact. Of course hindsight is 2020. Up until this year most of the Monday morning QBs were still crying in their beer because we didn't draft Mahomes.

Those of limited capacity tend find each other and congregate only to be preyed upon by the very people they mistakenly support. It is like feeding Vaal, it is a thing to do... 2
Maynard Posted January 16, 2021 Posted January 16, 2021 He’s a punk. To thought I bought his jersey is sickening. Waste of a top pick.
Buddo Posted January 16, 2021 Posted January 16, 2021 Nice of him to give the opposition bulletin board material, when he can't play. I'm sure his teammates really appreciate it. 😏
