Look we know "Any given Sunday" (or in this case Saturday night).

Also Baltimore has had a very good run (aided by a weak schedule) down the stretch and are now everyone's upset darling after a very good win and great defensive performance, but look a little closer.

The Ravens played the following ranked Offenses this Year (and some quick comments)

1. KC - Lit them up

3. Tennessee - Certainly scored their first meeting and then ran Henry into a brick wall last week

10. Indy - Held them in check

13. Houston - 275 passing Watson

14. Dallas (no Dak) - Dalton 277

16. Cleveland x2 - Held them opening day, 355 & 42 points in the wild second game

24. Philly - 177

25. Pitt - Good first game, 277 passing second game

29. Cin x 2 (Burrow out the second game) - Beat them up twice

30. Wash - Haskins threw for 314

31. NYG - Moved the ball but Jones immobile

Yep their D should look good....

As I keep saying, hope for good weather.

Their D is good but not great. the best offense they played late was Cleveland and the Browns moved the ball at will. (but so did Lamar).

The winds tonight say 12-20mph gusting to 35.  that hurts Buffalo more than the Ravens D.

That Cleveland game hurt my eyes.  Maybe one of our Ravens guests would comment, but weren't the Ravens missing a couple key players on D sort of like we were vs Tenn?

Whatever the stats say, the Ravens have an innovative and creative mastermind of dialing up the targeted defensive pressures and blitzes, some all-pro and pro-bowl players (whether or not they went this year) and a very good secondary.

You can only play who's on your schedule.

Their D was majorly short handed that 2nd Cleveland game. I wouldn't use that as a barometer of anything.

I have no doubt the Bills will be able to move the ball though.

I agree, the defense is good but not great. My biggest concern is the fact that the Ravens D is a little dirty. Judon is a super dirty player. The O line needs to be on with pass protection.

I'd say it hurts Lamar more when he throws as his arm is not as strong.  Either way could be an issue.

Yep and Peters went out in the game as well. They were down 3 or 4 starters in the 2nd half of that game I believe.

I think it does hurt Lamar, but it all comes down to controlling the Ravens run game, and passing game between the numbers imo. Throwing the ball outside isn’t part of Lamar’s game, so I’m not sure how bad the wind hurts him. We can’t afford to let them gain yards on the ground. That not only allows them to put points on the board, it also keeps the ball out of Josh’s hands.

Top 8 or better in total yards, passing yards, rushing yards and points allowed per game average.

Yeah, they're as good as advertised, maybe even better.

I hope the refs call their grabbiness in pass coverage. And, if they do watch Harbaugh whine, whine, whine and his secondary will join him. Painful to watch refs respond to him.

Lot's of variables.  Hate to see if weather is a contributing factor.

Here's penalties during the year.

Except they played garbage offenses (point of the OP)....  7 games vs. teams ranked 24 or worse in the league.

Bills have passed every challenge against good defenses this year. Rams are a much better defense than the Ravens are this year.

Ravena were missing some players on D here and there throughout the year and are healthy now. But the Bills have been outstanding for the most part in pass pro and blitz pickup all year. If Allen has time Ravens will get smoked.

This why i would have Williams active for this game,  Singletary is not explosive enough.  Williams has both speed and size advantage over Singletary who i would not be surprised is not even on this team next season.  Having said that i would not be surprised Williams is not active knowing Sean

Lots of Pass interference and Roughing the Passer on Ravens-very similar to New Orleans. Call it Refs-Sean McD.

John Harbaugh- Oh come on, that's bull####, be fair please!

Need our blocking TE'S today to play well

Singletary plays well when he gets the chance. Why wouldn't he be on the team? His blitz pickups are really good and he has been a good receiver out of the backfield.

And RBs in pass pro. I am looking at you Yeldon. Supposed to be very good at it, we know Moss was exceptional. If he can be 90% of what Moss was in that area we are good.

I'm not saying he won't be on the team but notice you didn't mention he's a good runner when speaking of well a....RB

Guys, Allen played at Wyoming.  He’s not exactly foreign to 32 degrees and 15-20 mph winds.  Lamar’s never seen it.  You can use the argument the offensive player has the advantage in snow or rain, but that means they play man, and we have Wr’s who can beat man without a hiccup.  Allen has one of the top 3 strongest arms in the NFL (Mahomes, and Rodgers). That doesn’t mean their aren’t other great QB’s like Wilson, Brady still, Watson, and so on, but the ability to cut the wind and flick it is reserved to those three.

weather won’t be a cause for a win or loss.  Those DB’s are going to have a problem with Brown and Diggs, and Davis has a huge radius for even an off throw.  Beasley and Singletary will be excellent dump offs.  Just look at what a team looking very similar to us did to the Ravens (Chiefs).  Kelsey is basically a big WR.  The Ravens did what they do best.  They played man, and blitzed a bunch.  I never would’ve compared the two team until recently.  2020’s body of work indicates a very similar type of team.

What I wonder is with a man coverage and an athletic QB, Allen might run several times.  Zone contains Allen’s runs.  Man coverage dictates don’t be surprised to see Allen running at least 5-6 times tonight.  As long as he remains strict with sliding like he’s done most of the year, he should be ok.

I just wonder will motor, Yeldon, and maybe Williams be a factor.  They have almost no tape on Williams.  It’s funny as Williams looks like the bruiser, but Yeldon is 11lbs. based on roster stats, heavier.

Is it 8:15pm yet?  I slept like a baby last night, but amped as much as I was young with games and matches when I played and wrestled.  I think I’m hitting the gym a second time today to burn off energy, before I relax with otc Xanax (ie. Guinness and Harps mixed).

Well, if that helps makes Bills fans feel more positive about tonights game, got no problem with that.

They shut down a high scoring Titans offense and Henry. That was impressive.
