BITE ME Posted January 15, 2021 Posted January 15, 2021 (edited) Just heard from a reliable source (Pats season ticket holder) the Patriots are in talks to get Jimmy Garoppolo for next year. Interesting, wonder if it is because they like him or because they want to keep him from the Jets. Apparently Teddy Bruschi starting pushing this and the Patriots are now looking to make the move. As someone pointed out, this could be something they are telling season ticket holders just to get them to buy season tickets for 2021. Edited January 15, 2021 by BITE ME 2
Billsfan1972 Posted January 15, 2021 Posted January 15, 2021 Belichek was ready to deal Brady & keep Garoppolo, which was the beginning of the rift. It would be Billsy to give up more then he got trading him the first time.
DCOrange Posted January 15, 2021 Posted January 15, 2021 I don't necessarily trust him, but a friend of mine that has a source within the Patriots org told me the same thing a few weeks ago.
NewEra Posted January 15, 2021 Posted January 15, 2021 Sweet!! It’ll be Hoyer in week 4 after brittle jimmy gets injured 3 1 1 1
Nextmanup Posted January 15, 2021 Posted January 15, 2021 Folks in NE have been discussing this prospect since last November.
Doc Posted January 15, 2021 Posted January 15, 2021 LOL! Is that what they're telling them so they don't dump their seasons? 1
MJS Posted January 15, 2021 Posted January 15, 2021 Why would a Pats season ticket holder have inside information? 14 1 4 3
thenorthremembers Posted January 15, 2021 Posted January 15, 2021 Weren't most people under this impression? Seems like an obvious move. Cam Newton set throwing a football back 60 years in 2020. 4 2
GunnerBill Posted January 15, 2021 Posted January 15, 2021 I think he will be the Patriots QB next year.
Aussie Joe Posted January 15, 2021 Posted January 15, 2021 Enjoy the next 10 years of QB purgatory New England... 1 2 2

Your instincts are sound. Never trust someone in tied to that disgusting organization. 1 1

Jerry Jabber Posted January 15, 2021 Posted January 15, 2021 What the over/under on Jimmy staying healthy for the whole season?
Brennan Huff Posted January 15, 2021 Posted January 15, 2021 I’m sure their front office runs everything by their season ticket holders before they make any big decisions. Which is why they’re one of the best organizations in all of professional sports 2 4
aristocrat Posted January 15, 2021 Posted January 15, 2021 seems so obvious but the guy has not been able to keep healthy and that was so much of bradys effectiveness. just playing every game healthy
Utah John Posted January 15, 2021 Posted January 15, 2021 The Pats team that traded Garoppolo away was a much better team all-around than the Pats team now. Jimmy G might have done all right with that earlier team, but I don't think any QB is going to fix their problems all by himself. 1

I think it has less to do with being a season ticket holder and more to do with his dad's work with the Kraft Group's container business but maybe that is what they are telling season ticket holders to keep them buying tickets. He seemed pretty certain that the Jets hiring Saleh assures Jimmy G will be back in New England. Edited January 15, 2021 by BITE ME
Doc Brown Posted January 15, 2021 Posted January 15, 2021 Makes sense. The Pats will be back in contention next year with all that cap space with Belichick still at the helm.
BillStime Posted January 15, 2021 Posted January 15, 2021 Boston media has been all over this for the past 6 months. Not exactly news. 1 1
