That was one nasty, mean spirited shark! How about Jurassic Park, Part VIII? Or anything that came after that? 1 Quote

Yes Haven't seen Arthur 2 mentioned (add to the awful list.) But no one should be surprised that most of these sequels flopped. With the exception of Godfather the originals were not great pieces of art, most developed cult followings that somehow morphed in to mainstream. So the producers figure what the hell, with the original being a pleasant success, with minimal effort we put a sequel out and we'll make money regardless of how bad they are. Who in the over 60 crowd wouldn't even now pay to to see an Animal House reunion movie? But like most of these, it would suck. Quote

DrW Posted January 16, 2021 Posted January 16, 2021 As far as great sequels are concerned, "Aliens" beats "Alien". Quote

No, it's not as good as the original movie, but it was great to see a lot of the original cast members return. Lloyd Bridges in particular is good in the sequel, and everything involving William Shatner is hilarious. Quote
Saxum Posted January 16, 2021 Posted January 16, 2021 Shrek, Shrek 2 and Shrek 4 are good movies In Shrek 3 everything about "Artie" especially the high school was bad so I think Shrek 4 is improvement IMO. Neither Justin Timberlake as Arthur "Artie" Pendragon or Eric Idle as Merlin provided much to film. 1 Quote

I'm currently watching Super Troopers 2.....about 40 minutes in....not as good as the original. Super Troopers 2 is a disgrace. Bad Santa 2 probably worst sequel I've seen. 1 Quote

Yeah, "Aliens" is action packed and has a lot of fun lines. "Game over, man! Game over!" "Alien" is a spectacular thriller, and is far more intense. Quote
