There is already a thread about this in the Politics sub-forum, which is where it most likely belongs.

I'll say here what I said there: This is the first time I've ever found myself having fond feelings toward Bill Belichick for a decision that he made. Way to go, coach.

Bill B's letter to Trump in 2016:

"Congratulations on a tremendous campaign. You have dealt with an unbelievable slanted and negative media, and have come out beautifully – beautifully. You’ve proved to be the ultimate competitor and fighter. Your leadership is amazing. I have always had tremendous respect for you, but the toughness and perseverance you have displayed over the past year is remarkable. Hopefully tomorrow’s election results will give the opportunity to make America great again. Best wishes for great results tomorrow.

Bill"

did he deserve it to begin with?  honestly dont know,  but not giving credit to Belichick for refusing something being handed out by a person who shouldnt be handing them out.

There is no way he can accept that and keep his lockerroom together.   The nfl probably would rather he not accept as well

Wait, what did he do to earn a medal in the first place? Coach football?

Shouldn't that be reserved for people who do, like, important things?
