Actually this one gets interesting. Could mean Wentz stays. Also this could be our new offensive coordinator.

The emotional connection between the Teacher and Pupil will be too hard to be replaced.   I hope Daboll stays to give this team a chance to contend and win the SB next year.

answer is easy.. to entice him here... he's HC material not OC material.

so bring him in and pay him same as McDermott? He's going to be hired as a HC probably soon

By whom.  His mishandling of the   Wentz - Hurts situation and the anomaly of playing his 3rd string QB in that final quarter instead of going for a win probably hurts his chances very badly for another HC gig...at least for this year.

His bungling of the QB position was unbelievable especially with him being a former QB. He better than anyone should know how to handle that situation.

He literally caused a rift in his own locker room where players too sides.

Pederson doesn’t seem to have head coach brains or leadership abilities. He comes a cross as a bit of a meathead.

That’s why I don’t think he will be a HC again right away. Some guys need to step away, at least to a coordinator role, for a year or so and reflect on what went wrong. I feel like that’s one of the many things Gase did wrong.

On GMFB Schrager reported that the eventual firing was more about breakdown of communication/relationship between Pederson and management than related to tanking. losing the locker room, Wentz etc.. He cited last straw was mgnt wanting to have a say with the assistants he was going to hire and Pedersen wanting to pick his own guys.

The whole notion of losing the locker room seemed silly.    A number of articles mention the struggle with selection of the coaching assistants as a major conflict.

Weren’t there multiple quotes from players that indicate otherwise?

For the one game sure,  but as the justification for Lurie parting ways?

I’m sure that the dysfunction had the most to do with it, but I wouldn’t discount the players feelings toward him as a factor in the breakup

I called this one at the beginning of the season when a post  was started about who we thought was gonna be the first coach fired.  Although i didn't think he was gonna be the first one, he was my dark horse that no one was looking at.
