hondo in seattle
I know the Bills scored 27 points, Josh threw for over 300 yards, and the Bills won. Yet the every yard and every point seemed to be a struggle. What did Indy do to slow down our offense? Will we see more of the same next week? I'm like a lot of fans - my eyes tend to follow the ball. I never took the time to analyze or understand Indy's defensive game plan. Whatever it was, it worked fairly well.
RiotAct
I noticed that Rivers seemed to have a LOT more time in the pocket than Allen did. Our offensive line has to step it up next week. 6
bills6969
They have a great front 7 with guys like Buckner, Leonard and Houston. They put pressure on Josh all day. 15
SageAgainstTheMachine
Their D played alright and definitely had playoff-level intensity but it would have been a laugher if ours had played even decently. We still put up 400 yards despite allowing them to possess the ball a long time.
Big Turk
I am not sure they "did" anything really. They simply executed at a very high level. They are a good team with good players that is very well coached. Sometimes simply executing well beats doing a lot of things. Bills defense operated with a similar philosophy for much of last year.
Andrew Son
Same formula that gave us trouble early in the year. Zone coverage and bringing pressure.
Ga boy
It seems that this is the best pass rush we've faced this year. However, so do Fins, and we handled them. What's up with dat?? Some mastermind D genius please enlighten us.
Scott7975
They had a good pass rush but IMO Daboll tried to get too mastermind. Do what brought you here. 4 1

This. Make no mistake, the Colts are good and they all wanted this a bit extra for Rivers. They executed at a high level in all 3 phases.

Hard to say, but they have fast linebackers and it seems like on those dump passes and short ones to Beasley that the secondary were right on them. No extra yards after the catch on a lot of plays. TonyBeets
They probably have the best defensive line/front 7 in the NFL. Edited January 9, 2021 by TonyBeets
Mickey
As difficult as their defense made it for us, we did put up 27 points and if not for one blown up crazy play we probably would have put up 30-34. I think we have to face the reality that we probably are not going to put up 50+ points every game.
VaMilBill
Honestly, our offense didn’t get as many possessions because the Colts seemed to control the ball all game.
PetermansRedemption
Daboll tried to force the run is what it seems like from the uninformed eye. When the Bills were passing they were doing it well. That’s been their game all year. No idea why we would try to get away from it. 8 1
Rubes
Strong D line, strong linebackers, excellent tackling and execution.
streetkings01
Indy gave us their best on defense and we still scored 27.......gotta feel good about this team!
Buffalo Boy
I think Diggs and Beasely were not at their peak today and that had something to do with it. Gabe Davis came up HUGE for us though. 10

Rivers missed over threw that open receiver in end zone and the missed field goal by the dude with the glasses. Could have easily been a Colts win as well. So hopefully the coaching staff takes a good look at film and plans better for next week.
