If I'm his agent, I say, "No", we tear up the rookie deal right now. Pretty sure that's the way it works? Anyone know how Mahomes contract was structureed??"

TonyBeets Posted January 9, 2021 Posted January 9, 2021 I think this goes without saying, but the earlier the better. Herbert's contract will dwarf Allens when his rookie deal is up!
Watkins90 Posted January 9, 2021 Posted January 9, 2021 Why? Why? Why? Have him play out his contract, show it isn't a one-year wonder. Also, why kill the cap when you don't have too. I do not agree. 2
Returntoglory Posted January 9, 2021 Posted January 9, 2021 I would love to see Josh take the Tom Brady approach to his contract. Team friendly with room for growth BUT making it manageable so they can sign other high caliber players to continually be competitive.

The Pats would donate money to something of Bradys non profit or to that effect. 1

Over 29 years of fanhood Posted January 9, 2021 Posted January 9, 2021 Really? They think he is a keeper? I’m shocked to know.
BillsFanSD Posted January 9, 2021 Posted January 9, 2021 I dunno guys. I mean, do you really want to sink a lot of money into a guy who's only second team All-Pro? And think about those three weeks when he wasn't AFC Offensive Player of the Week . . 1 1
Chicken Boo Posted January 9, 2021 Posted January 9, 2021 Next year, I could see it. No point in breaking the bank now.

Giuseppe Tognarelli Posted January 9, 2021 Posted January 9, 2021 They should wait to see how he does without Daboll (as applicable). Agree with Jeremy White on this one.
