I loved what I saw from him and look forward to seeing how he develops next season, but at this point I say we should stick with what got us here. But great to know he is there if someone else gets dinged up.

This roster is SO deep compared to the past 20 years or so. What a great feeling!

Go watch the last 7 minutes and 11 seconds of the Pittsburgh game where we literally ran the clock out on them.

I do remember that game.

It was really well done.

Do people really think we will have 4 RBs active against a team whose strength is stopping the run and weakness is defending the pass? All because Williams played well in garbage time in 1 game? C’mon man

The Dolphins were still using the starters when Antonio Williams crushed them. I see no way McDemott will sit the guy.

Keep in mind Antionio Williams is an excellent Special teams player. Was Captain at NC

He probably won't play much but if Buffalo is safely ahead ???

Who do you make inactive? I think he had Taiwan Jones spot last week and no way will he be inactive.

I dont think so.  He was awesome in the game against the Dolphins but we were up and all he had to do was run downhill easier said then done I know.. That being said i think the most important attribute by running backs in this offense is pass blocking.  They know they have good proven pass blockers in the three RBS they have now and wont chance putting Williams in that situation. Maybe next year hell be given the oppurtunity.

I'd be pretty shocked to see them activate him at the expense of Motor, or Moss. However, I've been saying all season that Motor, and Moss are not complimentary backs. Antonio looked like the downhill runner that would be the appropriate compliment to either of them. If it came down to it, it'd be a tough decision. The question would have to be: Which one is the better scat back?

may far as AW, he had a nice game but too small of a sample size to put him in a playoff game.

Rob Johnson at least played more than a half of a game of football in his career before the playoff game.

Williams played well in the opportunity that he had and he has special teams prowess.  I think there's a decent chance he gets activated, but not at the expense of Singletary or Moss.  It would probably be in Taiwan Jones' spot.  If he is activated, I don't see him being a big part of the game plan, but he could get a few snaps, particularly in the 2nd half if we either a) need a spark in the running game or b) need to work the clock and wear down the defense.  RB is an interesting position where a lot of unknown guys emerge and become pretty good players.  It would be great if Williams turns out to be one of those guys.  At this point, as is said above, the sample size is too small to know.  I trust the coaching staff to make the correct moves.

Benching Singletary is a stupid idea.  End of story.

probably but Singletary is an average player at best

This team needs a RB like Kamara elite pass catching abilities

As much as I want to see more of AW, you hit the nail on the head about Indy.

I assume there will be a surprise scratch with injury concerns.

I don't think I would apply the term "garbage time" to Antonio's time on the field. Certainly, we had a comfortable lead, and had utterly demoralized the Phins' D. But, they were heartily trying to stage a comeback well into the fourth quarter. I'm still shaking my head in disbelief at that game. How McD could not dress three of his best defensive starters, and pull every starter he could in the second half, and send in the players furthest down the roster, and still completely dominate a playoff contender in all phases of the game is nothing short of astonishing.

All that being said, Antonio might very well provide some balance that our offense is actually lacking. Dressing him going into the playoffs would be pretty experimental, but with how similar Motor, and Moss are in style, I'd be surprised if the coaching staff wouldn't also at least be having the discussion.

I agree with you, though. I don't think it's likely he's dressed. Not this week.

The Singletary hate runs deep at TBD....

Very strange isn't it?

I think part of it is just that fans are used to the running game being the Bills top priority and needing a top 10 rb stud in the stable. 26 and 20 are doing quite well based on what they are asked to do in this offense. Both offer a lot of well rounded traits although neither will typically outrun a corner (so what). 26 still managed a 50 plus yd TD. They both pass protect extremely well too. The few failures at times in running the ball this year has been about allowing defenders to penetrate and stop them in the backfield. JA is about to secure a massive chunk of our cap and its going to likely be 3rd round pick, rookie contract based backs for the foreseeable future. And thats just fine! Our offense (and the league for the most part) is about passing the ball.

I doubt it, but if it was my call, yes he gets the nod.  I’d bench Singletary and use Moss as starter and Williams as the hammer.

And this is an example of why it’s good that we fans don’t make personal decisions, What was Marv levy quoted as saying..., if you listen to the fan you will be sitting with them in no time..., paraphrasing of course.

Go Bills!!!

Thanks House for that information!  I did not know that.  It is very important detail (at least for me) as to how Antonio Williams worth is viewed

by Beane and McDermott.  If his ST is strong he has a better chance to replace the T Jones roster spot next year.

With that new info I see him as the primary depth for both T Jones and the 2 RBs on the main roster.

This makes me smile!

Nice recognition on this board for AW's efforts. His performance was eye-opening for sure. I'd love to see him get more game action. We don't need to get down on anyone else though for HIS great performance.

This team is rolling and AW MAY be able to help them be better. It just comes down to numbers. Who sits in order to elevate him? It's not 20 nor 26 - they've proven their worth. We need the WR, TE and OL depth. Jones is near the top on ST tackles. We need DL and LB rotation bodies to stop the Indy run attack.

A spot would need to come from the DB depth. Do you sit a Jaquan Johnson / Dean Marlowe / Taron Johnson to play AW? Luckily I'll leave that decision to the coaches
