dlonce Posted January 10, 2021 Posted January 10, 2021 They would likely get their first round pick back
Green Lightning Posted January 10, 2021 Posted January 10, 2021 Let's hope that is BS. Watson in the AFCE is not ideal. 1
Frat-Train Posted January 10, 2021 Posted January 10, 2021 Is this a “I have a girlfriend, but she lives in Canada “ kind of truth? 1
SCBills Posted January 10, 2021 Posted January 10, 2021 Mort threw it out there on ESPN earlier today. Nothing concrete, sounds more like “hey, this makes sense for both sides”, with a little bit of smoke to it. Convo would start with, at least, Tua, and the ironic #3 pick, back to Houston for Watson.
May Day 10 Posted January 10, 2021 Posted January 10, 2021 Seems like a strange wording of breaking trade news

buffalo2218 Posted January 10, 2021 Posted January 10, 2021 (edited) If that's all the Dolphins are willing to pay for a QB of Watson's caliber, then apparently they think O'Brien is still in Houston Edited January 10, 2021 by buffalo2218 1

zevo Posted January 10, 2021 Posted January 10, 2021 Hahaha...this is so beyond laughable....Tua and a pick...more like tua and the next 10 years of 1st round picks
DCofNC Posted January 10, 2021 Posted January 10, 2021 Seems to me they would have to give up Tua, both firsts this year and more to make it happen, can’t believe Houston would be this dumb, but hey, take a look at the recent past.. 1

You don’t trade Pro bowl franchise QBs in their prime, even for like 10 Draft picks. I think once Watson sits down with the Houston brass, this whole thing will blow over. 1
Brennan Huff Posted January 10, 2021 Posted January 10, 2021 Pure speculation. We’re in the playoffs, no need for offseason filler yet..
whatdrought Posted January 10, 2021 Posted January 10, 2021 the dolphins side of this is a nothing burger as of now. The fact that Watson likely wants out is the big story. In order to go to Miami you’d have to have this situation: - Dolphins willing you send Tua, plus at least 1 (more likely two) first overall picks, and some to Houston. - Miami willing to give up on Tua and pay all that plus serious $$ for Watson - Whatever coach Houston hires wanting Tua - Houston willing to trade Watson in conference and risk him being a thorn in their side for years. This seems unlikely to me when there are several NFC teams that would undoubtedly cough up the same compensation for him.
Steptide Posted January 10, 2021 Posted January 10, 2021 Crazy they'd throw in the towel on Tua already
