Mort threw it out there on ESPN earlier today.

Nothing concrete, sounds more like “hey, this makes sense for both sides”, with a little bit of smoke to it.

Convo would start with, at least, Tua, and the ironic #3 pick, back to Houston for Watson.

why would anyone look at Tua and consider him to be a valuable piece in a trade?

If that's all the Dolphins are willing to pay for a QB of Watson's caliber, then apparently they think O'Brien is still in Houston

Seems to me they would have to give up Tua, both firsts this year and more to make it happen, can’t believe Houston would be this dumb, but hey, take a look at the recent past..

it makes sense to spitball this.  But no chance Watson gets traded for anything. You don’t trade Pro bowl

franchise QBs in their prime, even for like 10 Draft picks.

I think once Watson sits down with the Houston brass, this whole thing will blow over.

the dolphins side of this is a nothing burger as of now. The fact that Watson likely wants out is the big story. In order to go to Miami you’d have to have this situation:

- Dolphins willing you send Tua, plus at least 1 (more likely two) first overall picks, and some to Houston.

- Miami willing to give up on Tua and pay all that plus serious $$ for Watson

- Whatever coach Houston hires wanting Tua

- Houston willing to trade Watson in conference and risk him being a thorn in their side for years. This seems unlikely to me when there are several NFC teams that would undoubtedly cough up the same compensation for him.
