MAJBobby Posted December 30, 2020 Posted December 30, 2020 (edited) more WRs being looked at. Played with Josh at Wyoming former Bear I believe Edited December 30, 2020 by MAJBobby 1 1
whatdrought Posted December 30, 2020 Posted December 30, 2020 Welp, my “worried about Beasley” light is blinking. it wasn’t with Stills cause that made sense a month ago. Now it is. 1 1
MAJBobby Posted December 30, 2020 Author Posted December 30, 2020 yep I was right about Josh and Him. 2 minutes ago, whatdrought said: Welp, my “worried about Beasley” light is blinking. it wasn’t with Stills cause that made sense a month ago. Now it is. Yep and the official designation is a Knee. Guess we will see how it progresses.
whatdrought Posted December 30, 2020 Posted December 30, 2020 Could also be they want to have some good fits lined up ready for quick signings in case they need to rush someone in between playoff games. Someone goes down on Sunday, you don’t want to have to try someone out and then get them in protocol. This makes sense given Josh’s familiarity and chemistry with him. 4 2

Not a slot guy so there is that as well. https://www.pff.com/news/draft-pff-scouting-report-tanner-gentry-wr-wyoming 1
MAJBobby Posted December 30, 2020 Author Posted December 30, 2020 One has to wonder if this visit has to do with something like Josh Allen’s voice in the organization pulling some weight. IE “Beane we need to bring in my old teammate for a look. He could add to us”.
Matt_In_NH Posted December 30, 2020 Posted December 30, 2020 This has to be bad for Beasley...man that sucks

That seems like a pretty big stretch to me, looking at a guy you know your QB has had good chemistry with as a bubble player makes plenty of sense. 1
Cheektowaga Chad Posted December 30, 2020 Posted December 30, 2020 What goes on when a player comes in? Would allen throw to a player like stills during the visit? I ask because maybe they didnt have chemistry or maybe stills is looking for a long term or more money than the bills are willing to give Or maybe its another practice squad player that knows Allen and this is a nothing burger 1

On the PS and a call up if needed during Playoffs. And a Futures contract to see what he brings with a full offseason. 5
CincyBillsFan Posted December 30, 2020 Posted December 30, 2020 Aren't there different rules governing practice squad call ups and such for the playoffs? Teams are going to have increased flexibility to carry more guys and move them around without the risk of losing them? I suspect we're seeing the Cleveland Browns effect in full operation here. They lost all four starting WR's to covid. If it could happen to them it could happen to anyone. It's almost as if the Bills are assembling a shadow receiving group just in case. 3

Sometimes, in other years, they’d bring in multiple guys to get a look at having one throw to the other 1
OrediggerPoke Posted December 30, 2020 Posted December 30, 2020 (edited) We said this years ago but Gentry makes a lot of sense for the Bills. The connection him and Allen had in college was fun to watch. 52 minutes ago, MAJBobby said: Well he is an outside WR too. It was even stated in the article you posted: Has experience in playing in the slot and wide as well and also ran all routes on the route tree. Edited December 30, 2020 by OrediggerPoke 1
MAJBobby Posted December 30, 2020 Author Posted December 30, 2020 If they do sign Gentry I think everyone can say buh bye to Duke Williams.

Buftex Posted December 31, 2020 Posted December 31, 2020 Of all the guys they are bringing in, Stills is the only one I could fathom as being someone they could/would rely on, even if minimally, to play in a playoff game. 2
buffaloboyinATL Posted December 31, 2020 Posted December 31, 2020 I would assume this is a courtesy to Josh. He and Gentry had great chemistry in college.
