Yes, but he was replaced with Anthony Lynn as an interim coach for the last game.  They didn't have him coach as a lame duck.  Totally different situation.

Because he told them to just fire him and not wait. They pulled this exact same move.

Exact same situation. Gase just didn’t ask them to fire him now.

Our owners told Rex he’d be fired before the end of the season.

Sort of.

The owners told Rex to not play Tyrod because of his injury clause. Rex figured out that they planned to let Tyrod go after the season, which implied that Rex was out the door too. so he asked, and they were honest with him. But I don't think they planned to tell him ahead of the game.

OK fine, it's on Gase.  If it's as you say, then Rex did it the right way.

Yeah, they were honest and told him he was going to be fired before the last game. The Jets did the same thing.

Not the same thing.

Jets told Gase intentionally.

Bills told Rex only after he figured it out and asked.

When is Gary Vee going to buy the Jets? That would be some entertainment right there.

Gary loves sports enough and might be smart enough to let the football people do the football stuff.  Let's just let current management continue to run this thing into the ground... 🤣

I think if my boss told me they were going to fire me, not today but next week, I would sleep in and just not go to work.

Please don’t go after Daboll

LOL.  Do you really think Daboll would consider going to that dumpster fire of a team?  Chargers I could see if Lynn is fired but NYJ has to be the least desirable destination for any HC candidate.

It's like going to your safety safety school.

Now that’s a damn shame, isn’t it...

The sooner he is fired, the sooner he can look for a job and have that salary offset amount JEST are paying him.

There are also trying to get him out of area before owner Robert Wood "Woody" Johnson IV comes back and kills him and they want to make sure he is fired before Woody.

Oh man! That is bad news. I was hoping he would be there for several more years.

Now let’s just hope Belicheck and Kraft part ways and the Patriots* decide to hire Gase as his replacement.  I’d love to watch him set another AFCE team back a few years in their development.
