Browns going to miss the playoffs because they lost all of their WRs the day before a very important week 16 game .

Sucks to say because we are one of the favorites to win the superbowl but youre going to have to put at least a small asterisk on the winner this year.

No they are gonna miss the playoffs because they allowed the putrid Jets offense to score 23 points and turned the ball over 3 times.

Fumbled on 4th down at the line for scrimmage can only be advanced by the person who fumbled it.

Inside 2 minutes of the end of the game is the stipulation.

Which is why the rule that fumbles can't be advanced at the end of the game was put into the rule book.

The league changed the rule after the Raiders "Holy Roller" vs. the Chargers in the 70's?

OPI on Claypool uncalled as refs continue to help Pitt

That was horrible and the hit to the head on the fourth down no call. The Pi on the long pass to the end zone that wasn’t called. but man they called everything on Indy

Yes...why is that surprising? Most rule changes come because of specific plays in the playoffs they feel are wrong but technically correct under the rules.

But the ball never touched the ground. So how is that any different than a pitch or a handoff... intent? And they allow that kind of fumbled exchanges to happen on last plays of games.

It's the same thing that happened to Rodgers when Buffalo beat GB. Mario stripped the ball out of his hands. The second Lacy touched the ball, the play was dead

Exactly was anyone crying when we had No TEs except one because he was at his kids Birth. Adapt or Fail. Browns did what Browns do. Failed

Right.  Everyone played under the  same rules.  It was incumbent on the teams to ensure players and coaches were following the rules, staying safe, etc and also that they had back up plans.  Some teams were poor at it, some were unlucky, but I see no difference between this and any other year when injuries can and do affect teams ability to win.

Absolutely not, terrible take. Teams need to adapt to the situation. The Browns had 4 receivers out and they adapted by having Baker throw 50+ times. No asterisks because teams play with stupid gameplans

When has a fumbled exchange happened within the last two minutes that you can reference for the purpose of this debate?

If the ball is knocked loose, it is a fumble. That's all that matters.

I suspect officials scewed the Browns on the call.  Fumbled backwards and did not hit the ground.  That should be eligible for advancement, imo.

You opinion is wrong.  Everybody is on board with the call.  Even the Browns.
