As i said in a different thread, i think it’s bad mojo to try and orchestrate a scenario to play a specific opponent.  I don’t really think McDermott will try to do that.  But he should play it smart and not risk key players to injury if the game result is meaningless to the Bills.

If the Bills are as good as we think they are, they should be able to beat Baltimore at home or Cleveland, Miami or whoever.

I get your take but they also create turnovers, run the ball well and have one of the best special teams units in the league.

Did you watch last night? Curious. Watching that game cemented it for me that the dolphins are not that good. Decent. But do not scare me.

Fair point about how it would suck to "let them in", so to speak and then lose to them. But shouldn't change one wanting to still face easiest opponent, which I happen to believe is by far Miami.

Good thing bad mojo isn't a real thing.

didn’t know that Milano and Edmunds had an affect on Allens ability vs man defense.

But yeah, I get it.  Allen was dinged up....but I replied to someone saying that we tore up man d all season.  We certainly didn’t tear up man defense vs the chiefs

I say we just keep winning and let the chips fall. I’m more confident in our passing offense carrying us. Right now we can’t really predict the weather. So for everyone saying we match up better vs a certain team I counter that it all depends on the weather. Kind of why I’m glad if we make it to the championship round the game is in KC. Cause the wind typically isn’t as bad there. I don’t mind the snow or rain. It’s the wind that makes me nervous in the playoffs.

I say we should play like champions...... Play to win and make subs as the game determines....

No mine games....play to win each game as it comes.....no matter who we play......We are champions

and let other teams know it........

But you understand why we didnt vs the Chiefs. If Josh isnt throwing with a sling on, then I think it's a different ball game. He was visibly different in that game compared to the rest.

Its happened a few times in NFL history when you let the team in by resting starters and you end up losing to that team.  The fins are riding a lot of momentum and a ton of luck.  I'd rather take my chances on the ravens who aren't playing great D and are 1 dimensional on offense.

Play the starters crush the fins and let the chips fall.

Curious of everyone else's thoughts.

If we're playing to win the #2 seed I say go all out, if not I say rest up. See Houston vs us in 1992.

That game will be tough regardless. I just want to be healthy going into the playoffs. I’m hoping that somehow we have the 2 seed locked up before week 17. Then I’d sit Josh, Diggs, Beasley, Brown, Poyer, Hyde, Edmunds, White and Milano. But also there is no rule that says we can’t win without those guys.

Even in a tornado or hurricane, I'd rather play the Dolphins

Josh has owned the Dolphins. BUT, I feel like this Dolphins defense is not the same defense we faced in week 2.

Looking long-term, I rather not give the Dolphins any confidence at all that they can come to Buffalo in January and win, regardless of whether that is against mostly back ups or not. I agree with the OP. Beat the Dolphins with starter or back-ups whichever it may be and let the chips fall where they may. There is still a decent chance anyway that we can beat the Dolphins week 17 and eliminate them while at the same time the Ravens could finish with the 5th or 6th seed. In either of these scenarios we would match up with either the Browns or the Colts in the first round. For this to happen the Steelers just have to win one of their final two games. As bad as the Steelers have been I can  see this happening. Hard to lose 5 straight.

On a side note, I think the Ravens should be on upset alert today. Giants have a scrappy defense and i could see them shutting Jackson down. Just not sure the GIants can make enough plays on offense.

I tend to agree with you. It’s tough to play division opponents and that defense is good.

I agree, the Dolphins have luck in their side and the Bills cannot control luck. They can beat any team they face so it doesn't matter, but you don't lay down one week thinking you would win against the same team the next week... Not in the NFL.

I just hope the Titans win that division so we have no chance at Derrick Henry in the first round. The two teams I want to play the most in round 1 are the Dolphins and the Colts

I’m not going to pretend to know that his injury is the only reason that we didn’t torch the chiefs man defense, but you can if you like. He had the sling on the previous week vs Tennessee. While the result that game was awful, it wasn’t due to Allen throwing the ball poorly.  He had one terrible pick and the pick six was thanks to a Robert’s drop.

I do believe that the weather and his injury  may have had an affect on him, but I can’t say that’s why he had a terrible game.

If the opposition doesn't get good QB play they won't beat us.

They have Tua.

I'm officially in the boat of cheering to lock up #2 today/tomorrow and then resting star players next week. Keep in mind, we can only rest so many. We might still win.

If Tua were to play the entire game I think we have a 50/50 chance with Barkley at QB and DIggs and Beasley sitting. If Fitz plays a significant amount I'm not sure we stand a chance against them with mostly back ups.

Put me down for putting the Dolphins down. We do for us, not other teams, especially rival teams. I keep seeing stupid sh*t saying Tua is the heir apparent. The heir apparent has already arrived. And up to this point, he still owns the Dolphins

Good morning!
