I hope Louie Anderson has moved up from the counter, to manager.

I know he’s in it for sure from another article I looked at it.

Wesley Snipes, Morgan Freeman are supposed to be in it too

It was cultural appropriation by Eddie Murphy. The late Art Buchwald  had written  a similar   story. and sued Eddie Murphy. He won.

It would be a miracle if this sequel could possibly suck more than the original.

I believe in miracles.

Is it considered "cultural appropriation"  when done as a parody?  If so, doesn't that eliminate all forms of parody.   I thought cultural appropriation was taken seriously. And... Can one appropriate one's own culture? ???

My absolute favorite part of the original is the preacher.

“He helped Joshua tear down the walls at Jericho. He helped Daniel in the lions den. He helped Gilligan get off the island.... if loving the lord is wrong, I don’t ever want to be right.”

Buchwald came up with the idea for the ,movie.  Murphy stole it. Buchwald sued Murphy and won.

Can't believe we have some folks in here who don't appreciate the original Coming to America.  Easily top 5 comedy of all time

I loved the movie, not sure if top five for me, though, not even sure if it's Eddie Murphy's best, I like Trading Places and Beverly Hills cop were pretty good too.

Beverly Hills Cop is an awesome movie but purely as a comedy Coming to America blows it away.

trading places is an absolute classic.  Maybe a hair higher than Coming to America for me on my list.
